Does anyone know where I can get good, accurate sheetmusic for all queen songs, not just the popular ones? I want to learn the piano parts and I want to play the guitar solos on my flute. I can't find any anywhere. So please help! |

To: iLOVEFREDDiEMERCURY: At least you have what key the songs are in and what the time signature is. With that you could improvise and make their songs apart of your band. Put a little bit of you into a Queen song. Just a suggestion...take it or leave it. Anyway, good luck with your band... By the way, the arranger of these songs adds a new song every now and then. So you might find more arrangements in the future. |

link Lots of Queen to be found here. I forget who posted this before, on another thread, but it's been really helpful. |

Thanks...you guys have been very helpful. I hope my band can pull off a few songs...we did We Will Rock You at battle of the bands-it was our best song. I don't have a good enough guitarist to pull off Queen anymore, so I'll have to play it on my flute, which should be interesting. |

Hey Metalhead...you're 17? Me too, you sound cool. If you ever want to talk Queen or music or anything feel free to email me at majikflute14@yahoo.com |

Dear iLOVEFREDDiEMERCURY And how do I know you're not some 50 year old fat guy with an erection the size of the empire state building? I'll have to think about that one...but thanks for the offer anyway... You sound pretty cool yourself though, I always did admire flute players... By the way, I'd be a little bit more careful on this site (the internet in general). Their are to many stalkers and sex perves. To be honest, the internet is corrupt. Just please be careful, I'm not sure if you're new to this site or not, but I'd hate for anyone (that means you) to get hurt. Just one's advise to another...thats all. Yours truly, Steve P.S. I hope we can further establish a friendship on Queenzone. Consider it an alliance. I look forward to communicating with you in the future. Once again, good luck with your band. I hope to start my own band as well. Whether it be a traditional jazz band, a ska band, or a heavy metal band (I'm starting to learn how to play guitar and can play the drumset). |

Does anyone know where we can find Queen's piano-music transfered to guitar-tabs? If you do, please let me know : ) Thanks... |

ITSM wrote: Does anyone know where we can find Queen's piano-music transfered to guitar-tabs? If you do, please let me know : ) Thanks...You could always study the piano music and come up with the chord and tab...but that would take forever. So, I'll help you. I'll come back if I find something... |

To Metalhead: I'll head your advice and beware of perverts online. I'm not one however, I'm just a 17-year-old girl that's looking for kids my own age to chat about music and Queen with. But I'll be wary with my email address... good luck with starting a band! |

To: iLOVEFREDDiEMERCURY Thanks for being so cool about me not emailing you. Like I said, you sound pretty cool yourself. By the way, what instrument do you play in your band? Just curious... Yours truly, Steve |

In my band I play lead guitar (till I find someone better), flute, keyboard, some bass when my bassist plays clarinet, and I'm the lead singer...quite an undertaking. |

Ha ha...thanks. What are you going to play if you start a band? And did you say you were going to do Ska music? That's brilliant! |

I'd love to play my horn "if" I'm in a ska band or jazz band. However, in a heavy metal band I would love to play drums. Since that is what I'm best at compared to my guitar playing. The main reason why I want to start a band is because I have a few musical ideas I want to express. I consider myself a frustrated musician... |
deleted user 21.11.2006 16:49 |
Are you any good at drums and guitar? Who are your influences? I'm a frustrated musician too...I have trouble writing because my guitar playing's bluesy, my singing's motown/freddie/robert plant like and the rest of my band is zeppelin freaks...it's hard. |

I'm a frustrated musician too...I have trouble writing because my guitar playing's bluesy, my singing's motown/freddie/robert plant like and the rest of my band is zeppelin freaks...it's hard.I suck at guitar, because I just got started. As for my drumming, its "OK." I hadn't played drums since 8th grade and I'm in 12th right now. And just a couple of days ago I played the drumset and people said I was pretty good. So I figure if I were to practice regularly I might have a chance at being a drummer. My main influence is Queen, however, I am influenced by bands like Metallica and Judas Priest. I'm also fond of opera. So when I compose music its usually kind of wierd. Its sort of like I want to write a good rock song but it always comes across as classical. So I guess I'm into mixing rock and classical music. Which when you think about it, Queen did the same thing. Ex: The Millionaire Waltz & Bohemian Rhapsody. When its all said and done, however, I'm more of a trumpet player than anything. I just happen to have an interest in starting a band outside of my high school band. I just don't know how to get it started. Should I contact people in other bands and ask them if they no anybody? Or should I find a few friends who are beginners just like me? I really have no idea how to get started. Any advice would be lovely... |

I found my old guitar player at school...he was just playing and I asked him to be in a band and he said yeah. I found my drummer on my ex-boyfriend's myspace page...If you're serious about it, ask around for the best musicians, but if you're doing it for fun, gather up some friends who are beginners. Myspace is helpful if you go on your school's forums and post classifieds. Putting an ad in the paper or flyers around school is really great too...hope that was some help. |
