Hello all. I was wondering if someone could take the vocals out of love of my life, the studio version of course and just leave the backing? I'm trying to find a karaoke file to sing to of it, and the midies are too fast, too slow or just won't sound right. Also, I have another topic on this forum that requests more queen vocal cuts. Thanks if you can help. My email is in my profile if you can send them to me.

This might all sound like gibberish...
But you could ask someone to take the surround files, invert the vocal-only one, and mix it with the other channels. Although if the vocals are mixed at a different volume in each channel, that probably won't work.
But this sort of thing works beautifully if the vocals are of an even volume in each channel. I successfully removed Roger Daltrey from "Who Are You" last night (I'm gonna upload it here if anyone wants it).
Just remember that these things are very hit and miss. Perfect reason is that the vocal may have some modulation on it and adding this to the main mix may not cut it at all. It's just going to be a shot in the dark, I'm afraid.
Adam.

I didn't really think about it at the time, but this mix chops out a fair amount of other stuff... you'd do well to have a guitar with you, if you plan on singing with this.
