Hi There
I work for a television production company in the UK called Objective North.
We are currently developing an idea for a television programme entitled Unseen Queen.
The idea of the show is to compile a load of rare footage of Queen and ideally some unique footage that has never been seen on television.
Ideally we are looking to find footage of the Stones performing, being interviewed and if possible backstage and in actuality.
I've been asked to post on message boards to find out firstly if anyone out there has any footage that they think might be of interest to us and also if anyone knows of any companies or individuals who own footage of Queen that would be suitable for our programme.
Any help or advice you could offer would be greatfully received
Many thanks joelorme@objectivenorth.co.uk
There is quite some available.
Most of that material is available in the Announce section of this message board. Have a look, but don't expect any excellent quality.
I have a lot of rare stuff here at home I'd love to share with you. Contact me at nitrodrum@aol.com so we can chat. I have a little insight into the band as well being that my cousin was their lighting director in the late 70's. He possibly could assist you in this quest as well since he's still in touch with a few roadies from back then and who knows, they may have something we'd love to see as well
Why aren't you going to Queen Productions? If you want good quality footage, they're the ones who have most of it. Or did you already try them and get rejected? That wouldn't surprise me at all, knowing them.
Good luck with your documentary, nonetheless!
Honestly, coming here was probably not a way to get anything unseen. No offence to the good people, but nobody here will share Rare unseen footage without a price. I will share with you all of my rarities as long as i get credit. But Queen Productions is another route if you haven't contacted them already as said above, but like said above, i wouldn't expect anything. lol Maybe a 10 sec video with the watermark saying "Property Of Queen Productions" on it. lol Email me if you want some help, as i have donated film for a couple of Queen, and a few films for a Beatles doc's, so i don't mind helping as long as i get credit.
Hey everybody! (Hi Dr Nick... etc.) I'm from a little company that has an interest in putting on a "Queen rare v-w-ideos" production. Please pass on your rare footage to me. Thanks! Wow, this is going to be great!
But seriously, no-one questions the idea that maybe this is just a hoax?
Adam.
Yeah, I thought of the possibility, but I didn't feel the need to vocalise it, in the off chance that this guy is for real. For now, I've got the "time will tell" attitude.

Depends on your definition of unseen. To 99% of the people, a concert like Earls Court is unseen, since it has never been shown on TV (atleast, not that I know of). And that kind of material is available over here, so why not use that. For the die-hard fans it's rather common, but still this type of material should be considered "unseen".
Just to let you all know.
Firstly, we are a legitimate company I assure you.
Secondly, if you have material that you own the copyright to then we will of course be willing to pay a fee in order to license the material for inclusion in our programme.
We pay fee's to television companies such as the BBC and NBC to use there footage and the situation would be the same for fan owned footage as well.
Also do not be worried if your footage isn't of the best quality. The whole idea of the programme is that it will look a bit rough and ready, we want the archive to look grainy and old, as if it has been un-earthed from the depths of someone's basement.
Also all archive suppliers are given a credit so you would get recognition.
If you think you have footage that would be of interest to us then please contact me at the following email address. joelorme@objectivenorth.co.uk
Have you actually tried other TV stations (outside of the UK)? Some months ago, there was a discussion on this board about possible material from a show in Hamburg: link
Maybe you can get something done at the WDR :)
Hi
Thanks for the tip, we have contacted a number of TV companies both in and outside the UK and already have examples of there footage. But thanks for the advice

That sounds interesting. Any chance of letting us know what's in the archives of the TV companies?

Have you seen the rare Freddie home videos. Theyre on youtube dude. Like Freddie playing with Mary Austins son X-mas 190, his last X-mas. Even though I guess that's Freddie footage and not Queen.

A sick idea, really. This has nothing to do with music. So much is available for documentary, and you want THIS? Respectless.
