FOR THOSE PEOPLE WHO SAYS THAT QUEEN DOESN'T EXIST ANYMORE, YOU'RE WRONG. QUEEN WERE FOUR, NOW THEY ARE THREE, BUT JOHN IS RETIRED FROM MUSIC.SO STOP SAYING THAT QUEEN ARE FOUR COS FREDDIE IS DEAD, HARD TO SAY IT, BUT IS THE TRUTH. HE LIVED LIFE IN A WRONG WAY AND THAT WAS THE PRICE HE HAD TO PAY. NOW, BRIAN AND ROGER ARE BACK WITH A NEW SINGER, WHICH IS GREAT, COS FREDDIE WANTED THIS (THE SHOW MUST GO ON). THEY ARE QUEEN. THEY ARE THE ONLY OWNERS OF THEIR MUSIC NOT YOU, SO STOP SAYING THAT THEY CAN'T DO THAT WITH MUSIC!! THEY CAN DO WITH IT WHATEVER THEY WANT, COS IT'S THEIR MUSIC. SO COMMON FREDDIE MERCURY DIED IN 1991. THEY CAN'T LIVE IN THE PAST!!! THE SHOW MUST GO ON!! THEY MISS FREDDIE TOO, NOT ONLY YOU!! WHO SINGED BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY IN THE TOUR???? |

I refuse to answer your question. Get a restraining order first. Oh...that was mean. Nobody ever said that Queen doesn't exist. |

For me, they (Brian and Roger) could not have chosen a better singer to lead Queen into the 21st century. I loved Return of the Champions but sadly missed the chance to see them live. (Come back soon guys OK?) As it turns out, I'm also a great fan of Rodgers and his work. I reckon Q+PR is one of the most unfairly treat line-up changes I've seen on forums and I can't understand why. Look at the number of great bands who've incurred many a line-up change in their history and still continued to produce great music. (Status Quo, Uriah Heep, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and The Who immediatley spring to mind here). Why can't Queen do the same thing? Why am I even saying that, OF COURSE they have done the same thing. I reckon we should all be thankful (and I know most of us are) that Queen are still going from strength to strength and are winning new fans with every concert they perform. I for one support anything they do and now I hear there's a new studio album around the corner? Wicked! Q+PR have a lot of potential and I can only see them getting better. However, I also accept that some people do not agree with this lineup without Freddie and John and to be honest I have to say that it's no longer Queen EXACTLY as we know it, but it is something new and exciting that will give all Queen fans a terrific boost as regards to the band's and the name Queen's future. |

i think it's fine that they're touring with paul, and they can use the name and all, but i still consider queen to be essentially over. are any of you beatles fans? on the beatles anthology, george harrison said something like, "this is about the beatles, it's not about paul, george and ringo." it's the same thing-without freddie, queen isn't queen anymore. it's something different-they don't sound the same, the chemistry isn't the same...i'm all for q+pr, and i'm glad they're touring and getting new fans. but, if we're realistic, the REAL queen ended with the release of made in heaven. |

I piss myself hard at those who are too stubborn to see that Brian and Roger are not getting any younger and they will soon finish in the Music Bussiness. I'm lucky to have met them personally and see them live. I say, take your chances now while it's there. Because once it's gone, you will all regret it. |

> FOR THOSE PEOPLE WHO SAYS THAT QUEEN DOESN'T EXIST ANYMORE, YOU'RE WRONG. No. > QUEEN WERE FOUR, NOW THEY ARE THREE, BUT JOHN IS RETIRED FROM MUSIC. And as Freddie said in 1977 (and the other three throughout the years), if anyone of the four, anyone of them left, it'd be the end of the band. So Fred+Brian aren't Queen, or Roger+John, or Fred+John, etc. And of course, Roger+Brian aren't Queen either. > COS FREDDIE IS DEAD, HARD TO SAY IT, BUT IS THE TRUTH. It's not hard to say. Fred's dead, thus the band ceased to exist. What they do now is a cover band that happens to copy the name and logo, but it's not Queen. > COS FREDDIE WANTED THIS (THE SHOW MUST GO ON). That's Brian's song, and still it doesn't mean anything. The show must go on, the band's name must not. > THEY CAN DO WITH IT WHATEVER THEY WANT, COS IT'S THEIR MUSIC. Sure, but we can do whatever we want with our opinions, because it's ours. And in my opinion, that's a coward move, and I'm actually disappointed that Paul Rodgers agreed to take part in such thing. > SO COMMON FREDDIE MERCURY DIED IN 1991. Common Freddie? Was there a "rare" one too? :-) > THEY CAN'T LIVE IN THE PAST!!! Sure they can, and they do: look at the tour, filled with songs written over fifteen years ago (for the most part). Do they go out with new material, a new band name, etc? No! They go out and play Ga Ga and Break Free and Love Of My Life, and use a name that Freddie invented three decades and a half ago. That's living in the past. > THE SHOW MUST GO ON!! Yes but it should go on under another name, unless they're coward, which of course they are. > THEY MISS FREDDIE TOO, NOT ONLY YOU!! I don't miss the geezer, since I never met him. > WHO SINGED BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY IN THE TOUR???? I didn't see the tour (and I couldn't be more proud about that), but I think the one who "signed" (sic) it was Freddie for the most part, through tapes. > Why can't Queen do the same thing? Because it can't happen to every band. A Paul+Ringo tour wouldn't be The Beatles, just like Jimmy + Robert would be Page/Plant, not Led Zeppelin. And Jimmy + Robert were brave enough to use their own names. God bless them! |

um i think matias2 meant that sebastian was not a queen fan. and i'd like to point out that their name is not exactly queen anymore its Q+PR. |
Sebastian 01.09.2006 23:40 |
Well, actually I'm not. I like the band a lot, but I don't consider myself a Queen fan, or a Beatles fan, or a Pink Floyd fan, or a Backstreet Boys fan. There's music I like and (few) music I don't. But I AM a queenzone fan :-) |
matias2 01.09.2006 23:59 |
Brian and Roger (QUEEN) are survivors of the REAL ROCK!! I still can't believe that they are going to record a new album with Paul!! Some of you look like pissed off cos Queen is on the road again, I can't understand you!! Do you like to hear the same bullshit in the radio like Robbie Williams(this guy sucks!!), Christina Aguilera, The Pussycats Dolls, etc?? GIVE BRIAN AND ROGER A CHANCE TO PROVE THAT THEY ARE THE GREATEST MUSICIANS OF ENGLAND!!!!! |

I think it's fantastic that Brian and Roer are still continuing to use the name Queen. There are a lot of younger fans out there who never got to see Queen with Freddie and John, and this is just a golden opportunity. |

if Freddie had kept his prick in his pants instead of shagging rough lorry driver types he might still be around now, but he's not, i miss him, Queen and PR=OK for me, ps I saw Queen in Liverpool in 1973 and 27 times since, so don't give me "you're not a Queen fan shit" |
