Is it just me or does Brian May seem to bitch about everything?? The latest is that person trying to be him on myspace. I mean there are hundreds of profiles of famous people on myspace and we all know that majority of them arent the real artists but I really havent heard any other artist complain about it. IDK, i just think Brian takes everything too serious nowadays. |

Nothing's up with Brian. How would you feel if someone was posing as someone else and you were a big fan of that person. I had that happen to me once, and I thought it was the right person. It broke my heart when I found out it wasn't. And it isn't fair to Brian what's going on. |

"I've since discovered that I'm not the only one whose identity has been pirated .... Paul Stanley of Kiss apparently is also fighting this invasion, and Roger and John - and my own lady, Anita, has already had to close one down." Seems like for the first time since the end of 90s Brian got in contact with John - just to ask him about if he has MySpace clone or not... |

Haha Serry I think ur the best person here on Queenzone, lol. That is funny, Brian contacting John after a long time just to see if thats really him, lol. I mean come on What famous person really has the time to have a myspace account?? If ur dumb to believe youre actually talking to Brian or Paul Stanley or Whoever, then you deserve to be let down when u actually find out its not them. On myspace I have Freddie Mercury as one of my friends, shit come one I know its not him but why is that going to bother me. And they should be glad people are trying to be them, that tells them they are still famous. |

true that! didn't roger used to have a website, and then got rid of it? why? man, if only freddie had had a soapbox...of course he never would have, being private and all that. but still, i would have enjoyed reading his take on life:) that said i do like brian's soapbox quite a lot when he's in a good mood, and excited about one of his hobbies! mm, celebrity blogs are much fun:) |

I would be a little peeved if I were Brian, but then being a celebrity, these things happen. I don't understand how his privacy is being invaded. Do imposters on Myspace have access to info. that is private? I can't believe people would think it was really him on Myspace, but some people are gulible. I knew this old geezer once, nice guy, who played blackjack online. Because another player called themselves Demi Moore, he was convinced it must be the truth. Gone are the days when you could take someone at their word. I do think he over reacts though, but hey, that's just his way. |

MotherGoose 26.08.2006 11:09 |
I think part of Brian's personality is that he's sensitive, and may at times let things get under his skin. The MySpace imposter, he just could of said, "There's an imposter on MySpace, for everyone's information, it's not me." Or the poodle hair comment in the press, "Hey, it's my hair, and I like my long locks." But in the end, it's his "soapbox", and when he jumps on it, sometimes fireworks do follow. Hey, Bri, water on a duck's back, let it roll off. |
_Bijou_ 26.08.2006 11:11 |
That poodle joke is so old, well it was never new and never funny. It's an easy target and if they find it funny they are the only people who do. Brian is entitled to his opinion on his site just like the jounalists who mock them have. |

I remember writing a good-sized bit of hatred aimed at people creating MySpace's for Freddie Mercury. I think it's pathetic. Creating one as a LIVING celebrity (or anyone else who is not you) is even worse. Because while everyone knows Freddie's not making a MySpace - it is POSSIBLE that Brian or any other celebrity might get bored and give it a try. It shows a total lack of respect on the part of the person who created the thing. This isn't just a silly fan-story or something - this is claiming their identity. It's rubbish, and whoever did it is the same kind of "fan" that continues to write on Mary Austin's house. |

i just went on myspace, and a quick search of people calling themselves "brian may" revealed one brian may imposter(who lives in...indiana?), one brian may music page(offering a couple of official releases for downloading), two ardent queen fans who seem to have no interest in actually posing as brian may, and one 20-year-old who appears to truly be named "brian may." the one that caught everyone's attention has, as you all know, been deleted. so that is the current state of brian may myspace affairs. if you send a message to the latest myspace brian...he won't get it. he hasn't checked his profile since may. |
