Hey :D Rolling Stones fans, its time to unite! I remember reading a topic here where some members said "They just stole the music the blacks made famous" thats such bollocks. The Stones 60s and early 70s works were amazing. R&B was never so damn good. Overall, quite enjoyable and done masterfully, its imperfectly perfect :) Long live Jagger and the boys! Selected Albums Brian Jones Years: Big Hits/Hide Tides Through The Past Darkly Aftermath Between The Buttons Their Satanic Majesties Request Beggars Banquant Let It Bleed Rolling Stones Records Years: Sticky Fingers Exile On Main St Goat's Head Soup Black & Blue Some Girls :) I enjoy Exile On Main St/Let It Bleed the most actually! Please feel free to post and discuss fellow fans ^_^ |

I can't stand the Rolling Stones. I have never understood their popularity. |

The Stoners (typo intended) have done nothing for the world of music in 25 years. It's time to move on. |

As for the Stones doing nothing within the last 25 years, I think they have done a fine job of preforming their classics live as well as releasing new albums that go with the trend of the times. Cheers :) |

I like them. I got their album 'A Bigger Bang' by accident instead of my Paul McCartney CD. I'm sure it was a sign. And i bloody love that album now. |

I like The Rolling Stones... but I only have a Best of album, with the famous hits as Satisfaction, you know. |

I like the Stones, but, to me, they are reminescent of the Ramones or AC/DC - a whole lotta catalogue, but not much in the way of variety. A lot of the songs are great...but only just as great as the last one, and always in the same vein. |

Their last album is toooooooo much long... I'm not saying it's boring, but... Nevermind. |

Some of you may already know that I LOVE them (omg Keith is so hot!), but as a matter of fact I used to hate them. how could I? I'm happy i came to my senses. the early stuff is the best ;) |

I more or less lost interest in anything they released after Bill Wyman left. Guitarists came and went, but the rhythm section of Watts and Wyman was a force to be reckoned with - once that was shifted, what's the point? They were unstoppable up until 1981, but they should have stopped with Tattoo You and everything would've been great. There are some excellent songs on the albums since, but now it just seems like they're trying to recreate past glories. The most memorable songs from A Bigger Bang are 'Rough Justice', 'Back Of My Hand', and 'She Saw Me Coming' (yes, of all 16 tracks...), while the best song, 'Under The Radar', wasn't even released on the album. I wouldn't be surprised if this was their last tour. That said, Exile On Main Street is their best album ever. |

And indeed! Exile On Main St is just awesome @Dances with Freddie- Awesome to hear that you enjoy the Stones! Rock on @Everyone who doesnt like the Stones, :) I use to be just like you, but I sat down with an open mind and now they are just one of my favourite, Everytime I reach for a Queen lp, my hand always ends up going to Exile On Main St or Sticky Fingers hehe :p. Try listening to Exile On Main St and see what the hype is all about. Glimmer Twins forever :p! |

Nah... You can't try and convice me. =) If I don't like them, then I don't. I have heard quite alot of songs you mentioned actually, and personally it isn't my taste. |

I think the Stones are obviously very different to Queen but I love their work. The Stones at their best ARE exciting, menacing and unpredictable. My favourite song is It's Only Rock N Roll, becaus eof those growling/exploding guitar riffs, and Ian Stewart's piano thundering in the background- Jaggers vocals are deliciously seedy too. I like Bitch with that superb brass section, I just Wanna See His Face a really spooky spiritual from Exile and the superb Lost Emotions from Steel Wheels. |

I don't particularly like them. Brown Sugar is perhaps one of my most intensely disliked songs, ever! That being said I do like.. I think it's called As Tears Go By.. I really like that. |
