Interesting link i've found: link
it says:
Burial:
Cremated, Ashes scattered.
Specifically: Ashes scattered on the shore of lake Geneva, Switzerland
so his ashes are in Geneva then or?
*packs bags, rushes outta the door, heads for Geneva* Just Kidding. I am sure that might be the initial response of some people. But, I for one, don't t think it really matters. Freddie should rest in peace.
She said she left them in the chapel of rest for a while after Freddie's death. I suppose she has now moved them... I heard a rumour that they were spread under the tree in Garden Lodge...

it should be the Magnolia tree then, but that is growing right beside and next to the pond where he held his Koi...so that is very unlikely, also throwing the ashes in the pond is not likely, as Koi are very sensitive to contaminations with bacteria, and will die very easily when the water is not 100% clean. There are many stories, but ONLY Mary Austin knows where his ashes are. I don't think it is important to know where they are, because it won't bring back our heroe. I wish he could come back, and rise like a phoenix from his ashes..but regretfully...the real life is not a Dracula or Harry Potter movie in wich these kind of magic things happen...only then it would be usefull to know their whereabouts...( and use them for the greatest come-back ever!) This info on this site, has never been officially confirmed, nor is there any proof of what they claim. I think it is wishfull thinking and making the lake "commercially more interesting" for tourists and fans? (in the end, money rules again...?). I have heared the craziest stories and we can only guess. But i think it is useless...i'd rather listen to his voice, and look at the barcelone dvd...that makes me happier than worrying about his ashes' last resting place....
Well that would explain the feeling i always get when i'm in Montreux! It always gives me a feeling that Freddie is really there! Sounds crazy, i know! But go there and you'll know what i mean!
I've heard that it's under a cherry tree in his old grarden, on that lake in montreux, sprinkled around the garden that belongs to the funeral home, but only Mary really knows I guess. I suppose she mightve told a few people but they're obviously not talking, and good on them. It was apparently Freddie's wish to have his resting plcae not be known to the public, so good for Mary for not telling. And whoever she may or may not have told :)

... and then she later gave them to John. So no one really knows where either are!!!
where you just saved his ashes are still a great mystery was either scattered in his garden at Garden Lodge or Lake Geneva, but somewhere I read that on an unmarked grave in London so I do not know
