If so, what books and authors do you like? I like Michael Crichton, Frederick Forsyth, Jack Higgins, Christian Jacq, H.G. Wells, Alistair MacLean, JRR Tolkien and I used to love Roald Dahl when I was younger. Now, for books, the Jurassic Park ones and Jaws are probably my favourites. I also enjoy reading a lot of sports books. |

I love to read, I don't have specific authors who are my favorite but I really like historical fiction. |
KillerQueen840 16.07.2006 13:29 |
I love reading! Stephen King is my favorite author ever. But I try reading from new authors. I usually only read one book at a time, but I'm currently reading: Wolf's Trap Cannibal Killers The Encyclopedia of Serial Killers Then I'm going to start reading The Scarlet Letter for school. My favorite book ever is probably The Green Mile. |
Mr.Jingles 16.07.2006 14:04 |
I'm such a fuckin lazy reader, and I'm very ashamed to say it. It takes me quite a while to actually read a book, unless it keep dragging my attention all the way through. I think Stephen King is a brilliant story teller, but I haven't been able to sit and read one of his books from beginning to end because he drags along with too many details. |

beautifulsoup 16.07.2006 14:34 |
In general, I prefer short stories to novels. Ray Bradbury, Michael Chabon, Steve Almond, Anna Gavalda, Aimee Bender, Hannah Tinti. And I especially love the flash fiction (1000 - 1500 words to a story)and micro-fiction (500 words or less to a story) genres. (That doesn't include the little stupid stories). :P |

I like to read the paper... or, at least the parts that look interesting. Generally, the trashy bits, like Kieth Richards falling out of a coconut tree - not the "Today a Bunch of People Were Blown to Bits" parts. Hm... books. Books. I really, really, liked Science Fiction and would read a book a day. It was scary. Now, I'm pretty pooped. All the laser beams had an adverse effect on my attention span. Actually, it's school - they assign books so I don't get to choose. |

I used to love reading, but lately, I leave books in the middle, because none of them really appeal to me. I should write a book of what I want to see. Maybe there are other people out there like me. :P Besides, I'm more into drawing now. And BTW... I ADORE your artwork, Kelley!! |

Are you kidding? I read way more than is probably healthy for me....which is good since I'm now a graduate student of history and that's 99.9999% of what you do....read and write!! Don't really have any favorite authors, I just read what's interesting to me. I've liked some Michael Chrichton and Dan Brown and things like that, but I generally just buy a book and read it, as opposed to reading everything by one author. This is one author I've read all of the books for, Diana Gabaldon does a time traveling series that is good (as of now, 6 books which are all 600 pages plus!). I just got back from camping, and read most of the time! The Erotic Poems by Ovid....gotta love the classics :-) |

You can learn something new every day !Oh, that brought back some memories. :-* I pretty much did the same as your dad's girlfriend, except I was in an incense shop.. I mistaked Kama Sutra with a different term I'd read in my history book earlier, and I picked up the incense and I was like, "Look, mom, it's Kama Sutra!! I studied this!" Poor salesman. I bet he was wondering what school I attended. |
