Does anyone remember these radio shows. Does anybody have any of these Queen interveiws. I have a few on cassette from the late 70's.I wonder how many interveiws they did.The correct title to the show was;" Off The Record" with Mary Turner.
There were three "In the Studio with Redbeard" - I have one on CD - The Game I think. ANATO & NOTW were the others.
Plus there was "Jim Ladd's Innerview", and the Mary Turner stuff. Most are easily available these days, having been replayed throughout the 90s

I have the ones from 81 and 82. Are you sure your tapes are from the late 70s, and not the early 80s? I have never seen Queen interviews on Off The Record documented before. This would be a great find if it's true! What are the dates on your tapes?
I have located my cassettes of " off the record" interveiws. They appear to be from 81 & 82.I thought they were from the 70's,oh well,I've slept since then.Freddie starts both shows off, very cool.My user name is a variation of Freddie speaking about the band, something like" we are just a good old fashion basic quartet".As we all know Freddie has a way with words. Also, I had just seen Queen live in August 82,Indianapolis,and this was in October 82,so it was extra sweet. Thanks for the extra info.

Any chance that you recorded the Indianapolis show, or took pictures?
I do have pictures from the 82 show, 5th row in the middle, just about perfect seats.Flash theme on tape was so loud with the spotlights swirling around and with the dry ice/fog,I could not focus my eyes on the stage.Great effect/gimmick.I was only 15 ft. from the stage.During the first part of the solo for "The Hero",Brian broke a string,as soon as that happened,,Freddie,Roger,John all look at him at the same time, continued to watch him and wait for him to end the song. What fond memory.I've got a shot of Brian and the broken string. Also, they performed "Life Is Real" almost accapella, very cool to see and hear.Kind of a short show, but the seats made it all the better.I saw Queen in 1980 too.No pictures. My fond memory from that show was Freddie tearing down half of Roger's drumkit after "Sheer Heart Attack".He was actually mad about the stage moniters(they were having trouble hearing themselves)he trashed two moniters, side stage, one problem with that, they wre rented equipment not there own.The best was John running with his bass guitar on his shoulder, all the way across the stage, left to right, letting it fly out of his hands and in to a side moniter. Can you believe that,It was a sight to see.I had binoculars,so i saw it upclose,it was serious confusion on stage at that point. It took 20 minutes for them, set back up and play encores and finish the show.AMAZING end.
