OMG I found the origanl Crazy Little Thing Called Love on Limewire and many Queen fans think it was Freddie who wrote the song so i don't see why it says he wrote it on the Queen books and Magazines anyway here is the Download link for the Elvis Version link |

No, it's obvious that Freddie wrote it. First of all, Elvis didn't write this song. Second, he never sang it, because he was already dead before Freddie could write it. I rememebr something similar appearing on QZ some years ago. There was a CD where a person with a voice similar to Elvi's covered some songs like Crazy Little Thing Called Love and Candle In The Wind. Just repeat with me: Freddie wrote Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Freddie wrote Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Freddie wrote Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Freddie wrote Crazy Little Thing Called Love... |

I recommend doing some research before posting things like this. I can't believe you really thought Elvis wrote the song. Guess there's one born every moment! |

are you 100% sure it is Dwight Yoakam? He doesn't sound anything like Elvis! I didn't even listen to the uploaded track, but D.Y doesn't sound like Elvis. For those who don't know who Dwight is, he is a Country singer. I am suprised you all didn't know that Elvis came back from the crave 2 years later to help Freddie write this song! Freddie was sitting on Elvis's lap in the bathtub in Germany, that's how he got AIDS too! You all need to do your research! lol ;) |
Mr Mercury 29.06.2006 12:57 |
This is defenetely the Dwight Yoakam version which was officially released as part of the Levi Jeans Ad campain a few years ago. This video is almost identical to the ad itself link And so according to the site rules, the megaupload link should be removed because - 1 - Its official link and 2 - Its Dwight Yoakam murdering a Queen song WRITTEN BY FREDDIE. Nuff said. |
gem27 29.06.2006 14:36 |
I never heard of Dwight Yoakam before but after watching and hearing that I just got one thing to say....Embarrassing! |
RoHo 29.06.2006 14:37 |
Anyway, this song was a number 1 hit in the United States in 1980, it is really well known there, don't you think that the lawyers and relatives of Elvis would find out it's his song, and sue Queen for royalties? Obviously this great song was written by Freddie. |
Killer Queenie 29.06.2006 14:45 |
it was written by Freddie while launging in a bubble bath!!!!! there might be a song with the same name but the lyric will be different |

Right, and Man On The Prowl was Elvis's B-side to Crazy Little Thing. Isn't it surprising that Elvis' camp didn't notice this copyright infringement while the song was a number one hit? Boy if they had, it would have been lawsuit time. Gimptard! So in your magical Elvis version, does his band say "Ready Freddie" or "Ready Elvis" or "Ready King"? I'll bet there are a lot of Queen songs Elvis could have done a good job with. How about "Dreamer's Ball"? |
john bodega 29.06.2006 23:00 |
Elvis sang Crazy Little Thing Called Love??!?!? WHERE DID YOU GAIN THIS INCREDIBLE KNOWLEDGE! Nevermind that Elvis was dead a good year or two before Freddie drew that bath and wrote the song.... but hey! Some birds weren't meant to be caged - Elvis probably cut a deal (AND A CONTRACT) with the Reaper JUST to sing this song! You're a genius, and quite probably the real Freddie's Son. |
deleted user 29.06.2006 23:13 |
Pah. I can't say how many times CLTCL played and someone said, "Wait, QUEEN sings that? I thought it was Elvis!" Yeah, so they sound the same...but it is Freddie, unfortunately. |
evv95 30.06.2006 00:28 |
If you search for CLTCL in this peer-to-peer softwares (Emule, etc...), you will find CLTCL played by StrayCats. Obviously, it is the Queen version. |

No you're thinking the first Poirot novel. *THAT* was written in the bathtub. Where the hell do you get your information sonny jim? Speaking of this song, it was awful, I was in a shop the other day and they were playing the MICHAEL BUBLÉ version. I wanted to kill something. |
