From watching 'Somebody To Love' on VH1 back in Christmas 2004. I fell in love. |

I first got into Queen when I heard my dad's tape of Greatest Hits II. That would have been about 1999. |

I got Greatest Hits I and II for Christmas just last year. :/ I think I should have discovered Queen earlier, because I absolutely fell in love with them and have been ever since. <3 |

In a english lesson the teacher showed us We Are The Champions. I needed to hear that song again (I knew it already, of course) but with more attention. I looked for a Queen CD in my house and I found Greatest Hits I&II. Then I fell in love with Bohemian Rhapsody and Don't Stop Me Now. |

i was at some peoples house and they put on im going slightly mad (video) and i sat and never took my eyes off the tv and ever since that (1992) i was hooked. in the beginning tho, i was afraid to watch bo rhap because freddie kind of scared me and id hide behind the couch and just listen to the song...i also thought that my dad looked like freddie (the moustached freddie) because he had a moustache and i was always 'my dad is freddie mercury!' i know, i was a very hopeless child, lol |

Parents' CD collection included Greatest Hits (Brit version). Then, aunt had tape of Greatest Hits (really old version with KYA on it). In fourth grade, I bought the tape of Greatest Hits (American version) because my tape player ate the other one. I would then run around making up Christmas pagents that revolved around people singing Now I'm Here and Seven Seas of Rhye. I am completely serious. And I wanted to sing Don't Stop Me Now in the school talent show, but only 5th and 6th graders were allowed to enter, which makes me glad because I positively did not realize the sexual undertones of DSMN and I have a feeling my teachers probably would have. And then they would have thought I was a bad influence ;) |

Last year I was in a theatre club in the summer (it was rubbish) and we performed 'One Vision' the WWRY version. Dad played me the proper Queen version. I loved it and then gradually learnt more stuff about Queen. I watched that doc in the Hall of Fame Season and got Greatest Hits I and II then ANATO 30th Anniversary and eagerly found more of their songs like Black Queen Liar aand Keep Yourself Alive. It's weird but I only heard Bo Rhap for the first time less than a year ago! |

In 2003 or 2004 my dad brought two Cds for us.. One was some album by Sugar Ray, the other was A Night At the Opera, by Queeeeeen... Well, obviously, ANATO was a lot more popular, and ever since then, I got all the Queen Cds I could get my hands on. :-) |

My sister brought home a burned Greatest Hit's CD which I promptly fell in love with only to discover that she had ripped discs 2 and 3 of the platinum collection onto the computer and I fell in love with them. From there ive seen and bought every single Queen thing ive been able to. I know, i know, ripedd CDs, bad, but whatever. I have bought them now. |

I heard Queen songs at AI (American Idol), wondered why everything sounded so horrible, went on Rhapsody to listen to their Greatest Hits album and was gobsmacked, and now have all the Queen albums I can get my hands on! |

I enjoyed them in 1999 when I first heard "Bicycle Race" and "Love of My Life" but I became a real fan in 2001 after listening all day to "The Miracle" and "Who Wants To Live Forever". |

1989 - invisible man! that song was on some compilation my mum had bought. the band "queen" was sort of common to me, but i had never really heard a song until then. i fell in love with it immediately and "the miracle" became the very first record i bought from my own money! :) |

I heard it on the radio and I saw the music video and i loved it. My dad then gave me the tape for greatest hits I. And I loved that. My uncle is a huge queen fan and it turns out i went to the fredie mercury tribute concert. I was.. three... hahaha. now i have all the albums and merchandise i can get my grubby little hands on! |
The Original Queen 26.06.2006 09:49 |
Dont know if I should admit this but.... Hearing Seven Seas of Rhye when it was first played on the wireless!!!(Radio to you young folk), but first Queen purchase was Bo Rap. Became a confirmed fan when I went to the 1978 convention. First saw them live at Lewisham Odeon on the Game Tour. Remember bunking off school to get the Game album on the release day, played the second side first, The intor to Rock It with the synths!!!!....what a mind blower that was... |

I first became aware of Queen in'75, but it was "Live Killers" album that made me think of them as more than just another band. In particular, Brian's solo in Brighton Rock that intrigued me. After that, I just kept buying albums and liked them more and more with each purchase. When Zeppelin disbanded, they became my favorite band (in the present tense). |

A few years ago... Me - "Whats this?" Sister - "Flash Gordon" Me - "Ohhh...cool" *long pause* Sister - "It's Queen" Me - "What?" Sister - "...who did the soundtrack" Me - "Ohh! Flassssh! Ahhh ahhh!" Sister - "Indeed, yes" Shortly after i decided a few of their songs appealed to me. So i bought their Greatest Hits Platinum album. And it started from there. I did get into them alot from the A Kind of Magic album aswell. |

Wal-mart. the maroon greatest hits cd caught my eye, i saw "another one bites the dust" and decided i had to have it. 4 months later when i came out of my emberassing "i have to listen to MCR and A.F.I." stage, i decided to listen to it, and now here i am, contributing my life to the fab four. :D |
