By Numbers definitely isn't one of their stronger albums, but .... give Sell Out another chance or two. It's such an excellent album that captures the time perfectly. Tattoo is one of the greatest songs ever written.

I have The WHo Sell Out and it annoys me. No getting around that. On the plus side, I;ve just ordered two of their CDs on Amazon: The Kids are Alright and Endless Wire, so a bit of contrast there!

Ahhhhh you POOR BASTARD! (Best michael pallin impression) You poor POOR BLOODDY BASSSTARD! ENDLESS WIRE is and endlessly boring almost piece of crap. I felt similar hearing "its hard" when I tracked down my Who collection, but at least It's Hard Has some moving muses and voicings... (I've known no war, Eminence Front, Dangerous) But god, what a bad decision... I'm sorry... - had to be said... Woulda been better off with an early Pete Townshend solo album, "empty glass" "scoop" or "all the best cowboys have chinese eyes" Anyways....
