I was just wondering if somebody knows here something about the Hectics tapes; it would be my personal dream hearing Freddie's school band with Freddie on the piano...
Sarcasm is lost on the ignorant. (Now don't get hot and bothered but I was making a real statement and wasn't trying to offend. If someone doesn't understand the properties of a blackhole they're ignorant not stupid. I'm usuing ignorance in it's truest definition. The posters simply aren't aware that there are no known Hectic tapes so I was saying sarcasm can be lost when that's the case. Hope I cleared things up and didn't offend, I've been a bad boy on here in the past with egotistical posts but this time I really wasn't trying to offend anyone.)
I recall the hectics tapes do exist, but the person who has them paid thousands of dollars for them (I'm too lazy to do a QZ search). For this reason alone, they will not be shared.

once he also said that he was willing to sell the tapes for the price he paid for them... in an ideal world the 100s of QZ visitors would easily pay the sum and buy it...
Probably the remaining Queen-members have more information on this topic... In the FM Box Set it is stated that the Hectics tapes do exist but that they are in such a bad condition (sound) that it was impossible to use them for the FM Box Set.
I have it. In 5.1 surround sound. It's rubbish. Freddie's teeth became stuck in a snare of the piano. Bleeding and stuff. He was taken to the dentist. The only nice sound of the DVD are the sirens of the ambulance. Yes, video material. Great memories.

Haha, yeah... I'm sure the recording is crap, and Freddie's so young, you probably wouldn't even recognize him.
I listened to the 1984 and Ibex recordings each once, and I'll probably never listen to them again. It's listening to cover bands that happen to include a Queen member. Guess how many times I'd listen to the Hectics recording...?

The only songs I listen to on those recordings are Step On Me (1984) which I think is a great song and on Rain (Ibex), because I listen to the FM Box Set very much :P
