My website has been down for a week now, and I finally found out why. The person who owns the webspace had a hard drive crash, and will be out of commission for a while. I'd like to keep my website going, because it seems to be an information resource for many people. Another point is that the longer I'm offline, the more new visitors I may lose, because they're hitting a dead link... perhaps at this very moment.
So, is there anyone in the community who could provide me with about 50Mb of webspace? 100 would be fantastic, but I could certainly make do with 50.
I hope to hear from someone soon!
You can try emailing my friend Aria and see if she'll offer you space on the Not Back To School Camp server (it's an Unschooler thing). Just email me and I'll give you her address. Hope it helps.
Zander
It was working just a few hours ago, and it seems to be down again!
Is it working for other people??? Could some of you post and let me know if it works for you..?

Thanks for the advice. Do you think I'd get more visitors that way? I honestly don't think so. As far as I know, those who see my site as a resource know where to find it.

I agree with that, I have an free website from my provider. I just have to leave my link everywhere and the visitors will follow :)

Depends on if you want to be found by google. If you do, you need for example (1.) a good domain name and page title and (2.) a high page rank which can be achieved if many other good sites link to you. Things like keywords are absolutely useless and unimportant these days.
Keywords can be usesful but you need to place them in more than just the Keyword meta tag. Placing them throughout the text on your website does help. It is also a good idea to not repeat keywords too much.
Your own domain does not necessarily help you with a search engine, although it certainly does not hurt.
If you search for Queen bootlegs on google the first result that comes up is a tripod site.
I meant the meta tag. Of course the keywords are necessary in the text of the site - on the other hand, they can't be repeated too often. I believe the range is something like 3-7% of the text...
I have read quite a lot of articles on SEO but I've forgotten a lot of it... :-)

Correct if you repeat it too much Google thinks that you are trying to manipulate the search results and will rank your page lower.
SEO is a pain the ass and very hard to keep up with.

Try link
My website (link is hosted there. I'm pretty satisfied with this provider. And it's offering 100 Mb free. Plus lots of tools, like form emailer, guestbook etc.
