Well, Brian wrote "Fat Bottomed Girls" and Freddie wrote "Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy". Other than that, I've got no idea. The only one that can really answer your question is The Freddie Meister himself. OUIJA BOARD!!! |

No, Freddie was not always gay - in fact many of his servants report he was most often in a stormy state - went with the diva persona. In all seriousness, Freddie's preference for men was tied to his experiences at Panchgani boarding school, where, at 12 years old, a boy of 14 took him under the proverbial wing, but also wanted Freddie take it in the ass and call him "Master" - so although I believe Freddie would have been a well-adjusted, garden-variety heterosexual had he not been fucked about so much as a kid, through both abandonment by his parents and the nurturing relationship with this older boy, in Freddie's psyche, sex with men took on a comforting and reassuring quality. He tried the white picket fence way of living with Mary Austin, but later found that he preferred the pleasure of conquering and then disposing of hundreds if not thousands of male partners, in some way perhaps looking for vengeance within his own mind for the way his parents had shipped him off for 7 years to a boarding school, while his younger sister was kept with them in a loving home. |

I know I did, with both girls and boys...I know thats usually how it happens for men...and it usually always happens with someone who is older... |

The ignorance of the majority of the people in this topic is touching. YOU DON'T 'TURN' GAY, IT'S G-E-N-E-T-I-C. YOU ARE BORN GAY OR STRAIGHT. So, YES, he was ALWAYS gay. |

Actually your not really born with a sexual orientation were born into this world as virgins...at least thats how I see it... |

So, YES, he was ALWAYS gay.Well, I don't think that this topic has actually ever been closed for debate. Perhaps it has, but I've not seen the proof yet. However, I suppose it is even arguable that everyone is born asexual. Perhaps the events in one's life until and through puberty may actually influence one's sexuality. Perhaps it's hard-written into our genetics as TQ said - that you are fated to be one or the other, or a mixture of the two. I do think it is probable that it's all "decided" by adolescence. |

So, YES, he was ALWAYS gay.Actually it isn't born. During your life you evolve a part in your brain, homosexual persons don't evolve that. So they like people of the same sex. And Caspar, could you tell me why Freddie would have sex with Barbara Valentine in 1984/1985 while he is gay? I think Freddie Mercury was just very mutch looking for love, but also for sex. I think women gave him love, men gave him sex. |

You know what I think...Do you think Freddie as a singer/performer would have been different if he werent gay or not as like "flamboyant" or something like that? |

LOL he was Freddie, himself, he was a gr8 guy, funny,he loads of charisma!!I mean what else could you ask from the guy.But ye, he did act guy.He had boy-friends..like Jim and had girl-friends like Barbra Valentine think thats how u spell it :s |

Johnny Knoxville ( a genius who used to post on this website ) said that Freddie was straight as a arrow until sometime in 1974, when he drank a bad bottle of Scotch. ....couldn't get his mind off of man meat ever since. |

well, seeing as ive pretty much always been gay, i guess he could have been too. |
billycat 14.04.2006 11:37 |
I can't speak for Freddie but... I wholeheartedly believe that sexuality is primarily determined long before we have specific experience with sex. |
sweetlady16 14.04.2006 12:02 |
well in psychology we got taught about this when we were doing gender, and there's actually evidence that people who are gay have a slight difference in the shape of their brain (the way it's wired/connected in a certain part of it) to people who are straight, can't remember the exact part of the brain cos it has a stupidly long name but i'd have to go with it being genetic. |
deleted user 14.04.2006 12:21 |
I agree with billycat. See, from my own experience, from a very young age I was absoluetly attracted only to women. I didn't need to have sex to prove that. I KNEW it. Then, some time ago - everything did an about-face. Again, I don't need to have sex to prove it. But it did change, I've no idea why... and I don't really care. It just is. Nothing "bad" happened in my life. Unless I've been brain-washed... scary... Regardless, I just hope that - either way - people are happy. It would be a very sad life going around having "revenge sex". It sounds empty and very... unfulfilling. |
