I was watching Highlander(the original and best!)movie on AMC and saw that scene where Kurgan and Brenda were driving around in the streets of the city and Queen was playing a hard rock beat cover of the song--New York,New York.
You know, the part where Freddie sings..I'll take you anywhere, new york..hahaha-yeah!
I was wondering,is it on the actual Kinda Magic or just on the actual Highlander album or is there a downlaodable version of the song if any?

hahah thats hilarious i was just watching that too and i was like i hear fred's voice but new york new york???
fred must have liked new york eh?
Well, apparently Freddie made a cover of Frank Sinatra's "New York, New York" for use in the movie. There are rumors of a demo recording or full-on track of Freddie singing the whole song, but to my knowledge, no such thing exists (except in fake demos and stuff like that). All that officialy exists is that one-minute snippet that you hear during the freaky driving scene with Kurrgan and Brenda.
I like how, in the movie, the song goes from Don't Lose Your Head to New York, New York. And if you listen to the song closely, you can hear that it keeps the same beat and tempo, which is nice. Almost like a medley :D
