Something i happen to notice is i have'nt heard the usual tales of fans meeting memebers of the Band before or after a show this time around. Maybe i am just missing these stories since i don't read too many post topics here...i don't know....but i have noticed no one has had much to say in this subject.
So out of curiousity, has anyone met one of the Bandmembers during this current Tour? This is for this Tour only...not the pre-tour shows in NJ or LA.
I'd like to hear about others adventures.....so please post if you have some honest experiences.
Wish I had something to report, but honestly I was more worried about getting lost going to the different cities than trying to meet them this go around..;-)
True. In St. Paul the band were "running late" (which I believe, as the show started at least 15 minutes behind) and the meet & greet was cancelled. There were mostly radio people, but I met the guy who interviewed Brian for The Onion, and a lady who knew Brian from their being at a spa together. (Both were guests of Brian himself.)
It was also to dang cold to hang around at most of the venues to try and meet them. We waited around for a while in Chicago but had to leave as it was just way too cold.
Just try talking to the crew guys before/after the show. Without even asking they told me exactly where they would be after the Milwaukee show and invited me to hang out. Sure enough, the guys were there - well, Brian and Roger were along with Danny and Jamie. Danny was REALLY wasted and was giving out his email address to everyone. LOL!!!

Did you get any pics?
I've heard of a few people meeting them at the hotel after the Milwaukee show. But that's about it, so far.
I'm surprised that they're not making more of an effort to "shmooze" with their fans during this "re-conquering of America" tour. It's a little disappointing. I was going to wait outside after the Atlanta show, but it was 39 degrees F.

Things haven't changed that much since the 80s.

You don't actually have to "put-out" you just have to flirt a little. ;)
LOL
Also, if you are a chick it doesn't hurt to be somewhat skanky, and whored out....
For example:
Chain smoking
Fake Tanning
Beer in hand
Thong showing with a glimpse of your tramp stamp.
What's a tramp stamp??
That's the real slutty tatoo's the "virgins" here in the USA get on their lower backs and "accidently" show when they are bending over or reaching for something.
A tramp stamp gets you backstage faster than anything.

I'd say a little luck and a whole lot of "being in the right place at the right time" makes all the difference in the world.
Not being a pest helps too....and not constantly in pursuit of gaining anything is also a plus.
Roadies are people too...respect them as such! :)

There dont seem to be many stories from people that met the band here, so let me tell mine. I met Paul and Brian after the Miami concerts.
Me and some friends waited outside the back of the arena after the show. and when each of them limos drove out we yelled for them to stop. Paul was first and he stopped for us, rolled down the window and signed autographs. I actually got to say a few words to him (about making my dreams come true and that I had come from DC just for this concert) but no one else really had a chance to because his security were really hurrying everyone along.
About 20 minutes after that, Roger's limo drove out and we all yelled like crazy for him to stop but he just drove past. Two of the guys with me ran after the car for a few feet until it stopped at a gate and they asked him to stop for autographs and all but he said no because his windon wouldn't go down (what a liar!).
After that, we waited and waited and waited for Brian to come. While we waited security got to harrassing us quite nastily, but fortunately we were allowed to stay on the edges of the driveway. During this time a few of the guys sneaked past the security and went inside the place the cars were coming out of. Spike, Jamie, and Danny were standing in there so those guys got their autographs and some nice fotos with them.
Finally, after around an hour of anxious waiting, Brian's limo came out. We all screamed like crazies again for him to stop and he did! He actually got out of the car too and signed autographs and gave everyone fotos. When he got out of the car, he didnt have a pen so I gave him mine and he used to sign everyones stuff then took it with him when he left (THEIF!! lol).
After that, all of us were sooo happy. I think each of us said at least once that it was the best night of our lives.
