Auburn Hills, Michigan, which for all intents and purposes is essentially Detroit.
I just wanted to know from folks who are familiar with this venue and have gone to concerts & events there before (especially recently) - What is the ticket scalper situation usually like? Are there ever any of them to be found? Is there anywhere in particular that these guys tend to gather to sell off their tickets for events at this venue?
I've finally convinced the ball-n-chain to go to Auburn Hills tomorrow night for the Queen show there -YAY!- (I just GOTTA see one more!), but of course at this late stage in the game I'm going to have to rely on whatever scalpers I can find to get some good seats (barring any miracle that might suddenly pop up on Ticketmaster between now and 2pm Friday - which I'm still hoping & praying for!).
I know that so far many people here & on other boards have mentioned that there's been a ton of scalpers outside the shows for this tour selling off their stuff for great less-than-face-value prices, but I know different states have their own different laws about this sort of activity and I'm very concerned about what awaits me in Detroit. I don't want to go all this way & go to all this last-minute trouble only to wind up with nothing.
All genuinely helpful responses will be greatly appreciated :-)
