Right who here has been to see a Queen tribute band? I havent but there was one in a pub in Stockwell in London playing there called Queen-B... Anyone heard of them before? If ya have seen any, whats it like? details please. Thanks.
i saw Flash Harry, they were good and the front man would have looked like Freddie if he had more hair, he was a tad bald, still really good. liked it alot.
I am in one...
Its not complete a Queen tribute band, two of us sing Queen, other two Pink Floyd...
I am the painist and sing basically the 70's tracks and provide high noted backup vocals...
I plan on seeing one myself someday..if the following ones I will mention ever make it to the states I live in and around.
Anyways, here in the US are the following Q tribute bands:
Under Pressure
Queen for a Day
Queen Nation(These guys sound and look really good.)
Majesty
and this one I recommend the most!
ALMOST QUEEN link
I've checked out their site several times and imo--they rock as good as the real thing--well--almost as the name desbibes and they did perform near where I lived once, but I live too far from Clevland.
There was also one once called Sheer Heart Attack, but as the movie called Tribute descibed they had to momentarilly disband because their lead singer had things in his life to pursue concerning performing arts.
But who knows--maybe they'll find a new Freddie for that one.
Anyways,i've never even been to a concert in my life--and it would possibly be great to see Paul and Queen--but after hearing his okay voice compared to the mighty Freddie--I just don't know now.
But--I would see a Q tribute any day just for the fun of it.
Oh,and here's two other Q tributes I also recommend checking out at their sites.
KILLER QUEEN
And GARY MULLEN AND THE WORKS.
These guys sound really close to the real thing! Freddie would've been proud!
I have seen Queen-B live back in December 2004 (i think!), and to be honest i was not very impressed. But if you ever get to see Killer Queen - they are a must! I saw out them out in Cyprus when they played a couple of free gigs and they were awesome!

I agree on KQ,I saw their website and a medley and it's great! Oh,I hope they come to America one day.
And thanks for the links to Queen for a day,4freddie. I admit they sound pretty good, but maybe a little too heavy for Queen, but good nonetheless.
I also checked out the site section on Queen b,they only had two sound files, but sounded pretty darn good.
I've seen "Fat Bottomed Girls" in Melbourne, Australia (2003) and "The Great Pretenders" in Dublin (2000)
My aim before I die is to play keyboards with or actually join/form a Queen tribute band.
I saw a Neil Young tribute band. They were old band mates some of them and they did 2 sets, first off a acustic set and then 2nd a electric Rock n roll set. They performed his songs very good.Im not a Neil Young fan,but they were good.
Ive seen Bohemion Rhapsody - Queen Tribute Band here iN Perth, Aus and they were absolutely amazing. The singing was brilliant and the actual music by the guys was great. The four played instruments and the guy doin freddie even played piano. The highlight was a performance of dont stop me now which even freddie wouldve been proud of.
