Hello darlings of Queenzone! I need to know your opinions on The Miracle. Is it any good? If so, then why? Is Innuendo just as good? I know very little about the quality of these 2 albums and i will appreciate any feedback about them. Thank you kindly! |

I love both. 'The Miracle' was the 2nd Queen album I got because I knew it was great. 'Was It All Worth It?' is amazing and one of the strong points. It's a brilliant album and everyone should have it. 'Innuendo' was the last Queen album I got. So now I have 4 Queen albums and it's probably my 2nd favourite after 'Made In Heaven'. The songs are so amazing and really show off Freddie's voice even though he was ill. |

The Miracle is okay. Innuendo is better. |

The Miracle and Inuendo are both okay containing some hits and some flops. The best is easily Queen II |

Innuendo- "five Stars," "Masterpiece." - Innuendo - Slightly Mad - I can't live with You - Days of Our Lives - Headlong - Show Must go On These songs can easily be singles; the rest of the album is good (Ride the Wild wind, Delilah, All God's People, Hitman, Bijou) The Miracle - Four Stars - I want it All - Was it all Worth it? - Breakthru - Scandal Conclusion: If you want to make a good investment by just buying one album, buy Innuendo. |

The Miracle is a up-beat, up-tempo record with lots of catchy pop, hard rock and dance music- its very creative and spontaneous. Highlights include the bombastic semi-metal anthem I Want It All, the quickfire rocker Breakthru and My Baby Does Me, a very laid back funk number with great Santana- style guitar work. Queen's best work of the decade no contest. Innuendo is the superior album, richly orchestrated and more melancholic- its sound is similar to early Queen albums and for the first time, the synths really work well because they are used orchestrally. Unlike the ballad free Miracle, there are three to pick from here- Don't try So Hard, Bijou and These Are The Days Of Our Lives-all of which deal with Fred's illness. There is also a lot of heavy rock- Innuendo, Healdong The Hitman and The Show Must Go On to name a few. This is one of the least commercially accessible albums Queen made- there are no A Kind Of magic's or Radio ga Ga's but that's a good thing. |

Queen's best work of the decade no contest..yeah, it's a really upbeat album i think. I never used to listen to Innuendo before because i thought it was sad because it gave me a general impression of saying bye, but i was listening to it a few weeks back and i'm in love with it like all my other albums now! lol they're excellent albums i recommend you buy them :D |

it's hard to go on a queen message board and ask if an album is good. most of us are very biased at this point and think they're all great. i'd say just take a chance and buy it or read a regular review with someone who is not necessarily a queen fan. btw, i love the miracle, i think the production is fantastic, better than the previous album and it sounds very clear. |

The Miracle came out in '89, and that's when I really became a fan right then. I heard 'I Want It All', and that was it for me. I fell in love after that. It wasn't even Bohemian Rhapsody. Great song, but definately not my favorite by far. The Miracle is a great album, in the fact that it greatly shows how the guys use each others talents to make the song work the best it can. Same with Innuendo. The Miracle is definately more pop oriented, and I think there's only a song or two I didn't really care for, but it's got some killer guitar work from Brian, and the vocals are incredible! Innuendo, as everyone has been saying on this post, is a masterpiece, and I have to agree. I think it truly was a map for where Queen may have gone had Freddie never passed away, and i think they would have made the come back in the States that Freddie so desperately wanted before he died. Innuendo is a complete power-house record, and is very complex, yet accessible. Never mind one of the best Queen records, but one of the best I personally have ever had the pleasure of hearing. Even non-Queen fans I've played this album to, and they are hooked by it. So I say purchase each one, listen to both about 5 times, then take a day away from them, and see which songs stick in your head. Judge for yourself!! And enjoy!! |

As Roger Taylor says it's a great album with a lot of 'hardass' guitar on it. There's a live feel to a lot of the tracks, that is what I love about it. I mean - as though they played it live, then did the synth stuff over it later, that's the feel the songs give. Innuendo is the superior album, but I have to say Miracle is up there simply because of Was It All Worth It. |

I don't yet have The Miracle, but I have all three Greatest Hits. Breakthru and The Miracle are both excellent;) I just got Innuendo a few months ago and it is incredible! Freddie sounds so powerful despite his illness. My favourites are: Innuendo - Magnificent! I'm Going Slightly Mad - Freddie's deep, sexy voice;) I Can't Live With You - Just so Queenesque ;) Don't Try So Hard - Freddie's operatic ability makes me tremble! Ride The Wild Wind - Breathtaking,as though you're on the fastest ride at the Carnival (Get your head down baby- we're gonna ride tonight) These Are The Days Of Our Lives - Freddie is so beautiful here;) The Show Must Go On - Some of Queen's best work ever! Delilah - This song is the best example of just how sweet and loving Freddie is;) Hello from Rai;) |

Asterik, that was a great review. Even the most articulate critics couldn't have said it better. |

both are really good but they are different- really different. no use in comparing different things, right? how wuld you choose from green or triangular? |

You wanna get The Miracle just for Was It All Worth It... What a song! |
Micrówave 23.01.2006 12:07 |
Hmmm... I tend to think The Miracle as the better of the two. You could tell that Freddie's input/songwriting was beginning to decline. Yes there are some classics on there, but a lot of "filler" material. The Miracle was still riding the high of Magic and was just as catchy. So there's one person/appliance that thinks differently. I can't understand why you wouldn't buy both. |
john bodega 23.01.2006 12:20 |
"You could tell that Freddie's input/songwriting was beginning to decline." I don't really see how, perhaps more so in Miracle but certainly not the case with Innuendo, is it? |
Micrówave 23.01.2006 12:26 |
Oh, absolutely!!! Songs like Delilah? Freddie had a lot of time on his hands and all we got was "oh my, oh my, you're irresistable?" Most of the other tunes were penned by other band members. Plus Ride, All, and Don't all sound like filler. Not very structured and pretty down right cheesy. Lost Opportunity was definitely B-Side material, and it was just as good as half the album. I'm not a hater, 'cause the other tunes are great. But I can't think of a bad track on Miracle. |
deleted user 23.01.2006 12:42 |
Well neither can I but 'Delilah' is gorgeous. Could you write any better when you're seriously ill? The song is brilliant. And for someone that ill to still be singing AND writing is amazing. |
