According to a member called 'KRP', he had the original source and he will upload the final three tracks some time in the future: 11. Get Out Of My Life Woman (Lee Dorsey) 12. Satisfaction (The Rolling Stones) 13. My Girl (The Temptations) 3rd post from the bottom: link Anyway, thanks for these! |
| jcrawford79 13.01.2006 19:41 |
First of all, thanks VERY much for sharing this. Secondly, is "Knock On Wood" the same song as the old Eddie Floyd track? I haven't completed my download yet so I haven't heard it. If so, that's awesome because its an incredible freakin song. Thanks again. EDIT-Never mind. I just completed the download and found that it is the old Stax track. |

gb_master wrote: hey man! I think that the tape shared is incomplete. Watch this link Let me knowI don't usually get this angry, and I am really loathed to say this - but gb-master (and your likes) are the lowest forms of life in Queenzone. Seven days ago (edit: From when I first wrote this), '1984' material was among some of the rarest collectables on the planet. Yet you received it free - and without effort - and you STILL complain. Now you are unhappy because two tracks (OK one is a medley) have NOT been shared with YOU! Not a 'thank-you'. Not a 'isn't this a wonderful thing to have in flac', just total selfish ingratitude. Including this reply, you have written seven posts in total. (I list them all below), but I must say I am far from impressed. You are an ungrateful leech who has not contibuted anything positive to this community, but you suck us dry like a vampire - and then complain that the blood is NOT to your liking. ANNOUNCE !! Watch this link Not even a posting in any other topic - just the 'Requst' and 'Announce' - and as I said above - not even a solitary 'Thank-you'. Sir, if all you can do is complain, and expect others to serve YOUR parasitical needs - Queenzone is a better place without you. |

Well said John. There are so many greedy bastards on here its unbelievable. |

It may sound a bit hard but don't get me wrong about this. I think Richard and his friends have done a teriffic job on creating this community and I'm very grateful for it but the reason why this "leeching" is happening is because they can get away with it. This is an open community, everybody can download what they want, whenever they want. Of course from a perspective this is a good thing, I mean it's great to see people sharing material. Unfortunatly like John has already mentioned, some people abuse this. Taking everything without giving anything back. It's sad, they have no idea that they are destroying the need for people to share their stuff. |
| Ginger01 15.01.2006 14:41 |
I don't think a 50-post minimum would deter determined leechers -they could easily post 50 "I agree/yes" type messages which adds nothing to the conversation... I would rather read posts that have something interesting or intelligent to say, quality rather than quantity. There are lots of ways one can contribute to Queenzone and one easy way for those of us (like you and me) who don't have anything rare to share is to seed - both recently posted torrents and also those that have been around for awhile. It keeps them alive! We can never have too many seeders :-) Thanks for your comments, John - maybe it will make some leechers think twice... |
| Lantald 15.01.2006 15:05 |
It is good that John pointed the leeching-problem out! I do agree with the previous posts, but I do agree with Ginger that a 50-post minimus wouldn't help. I for my self don't have anything to offer or add to the enourmous amount of concerts which are available at queenzone, but I try to seed every torrent I have downloaded (when they're older, I will try to reseed when asked). For me this should be the way this forum and the torrents could stay alive. If people only leech everthing, this would be a kind of death to sharing and to the queenzone announce. This is infact why I prefer torrents, it makes people able to help eachother. Rapidshare doesn't show this or makes it possible. Further I'd like to add that I don't know if I have anything to add to the "serious forums" because I don't know very much about the band, as others do, but I do consider myself as a fan, because I like the music very much!!! I hope people will think twice before leeching in the future! Keep on seeding and sharing! |
| Fenderek 16.01.2006 07:27 |

Hi, hope you dont mind, but this is a reply I made in another post which I feel has more emphasis with this discussion... I'm sorry Serry that you have decided to stop sharing due to the lack of recognition you've been getting, but like all other torrent sites there are and ever have been, it would be very impractical for every user to leave a "thanks" in the post. Posts would just end up being discarded and meaningless, and any comments of real interest or critique(i.e. torrent related) would possibly go unread. That is not to say that I think you are being selfish by demanding thanks, its only natural, but if its the only reason you upload files then it is probably best that you stop doing it (for your own sanity). This site/forums are not designed to properly accomodate torrents and a private tracker. The lack of a ratio system and more defined categories for torrent types/requests does distance it from other similar torrent sites. This leaves the whole thing a little messy, which is visibly obvious with the flood of torrents coming into the announce section. Please do not misread this post, I STRESS THAT IT IS NOT AN ATTACK ON SERRY OR THIS SITE. I merely would like to add that with changes there may come more 'thanks', just like other sites, dimeadozen, bitsoup, sharing the groove(now gone),etc. These sites similarly have private trackers, but they monitor the activity more seriously, and categorize torrents more accurately, which in turn makes sharing a lot more efficient, and those selfish users like John mentions would end up being warned/banned. MC |
| Flush_Gurdun 16.01.2006 10:08 |
May I add, I am fully aware of the time constraints such changes to this site would impose and the possible costs in doing so. I just feel that arguments over no "thank-yous", leechers not sharing enough, lack of seeds, wrong posts would would be greatly reduced with a more furbished layout for sharing torrents. It would also reduce the amount of childishness and bitching which has increased with the greater torrent activity. This section, although it is very generous in the abundancne of material being shared is extremely untidy and difficult to use, just look at the opening page of this forum... torrents everywhere. This is why you are getting hit and run users. They too know that such an untidy system would not be moderated properly... allowing them to grab files and run. This is just my two cents and i hope it can be taken constructively. PS. As for the 50 posts minimum, there would be nothing gained from such an action. As mentioned there are many ways round this for any user. |
| Saint Jiub 17.01.2006 01:19 |
Flush - I agree that general complaints about leechers and the absense of "thank you's" is counter-productive, and should not be the primary reason for discontinuing sharing. However, I thought that John S's post about a specific leecher was excellent and very constructive. |
| Rik&Roll 17.01.2006 03:06 |
Well, let me for a change complain about the lack of ´leeches´. I am seeding this for a day now, and no one cared to download so far.:) |
| neeuqfonafamai 17.01.2006 04:03 |
Thanks for sharing this, but there don't seem to be any seeders. Can anyone help? |
| Rik&Roll 17.01.2006 04:30 |
What do you mean? I´m seeding like a maniac... |
| neeuqfonafamai 17.01.2006 09:10 |
Arghh, I'm not getting anything. Is it the 2nd version u are seeding? |
| Mr Mercury 17.01.2006 12:56 |
As I said before, so what if this download is cut. I for one am grateful that Queen4u gave the record to Roy, who then uploaded it for me to enjoy. Many thanks to you guys for this gem that I have before me. And John's post was spot on for me as well. Well said John. |

Many thanks for sharing this rarity in such high quality. To all of the collectors who continue to share such great gems - a thousand thank yous. Over the last year your generosity have been outstanding and being able to hear tracks that previously were only rumoured to exist is amazing!! M |
| TheGame 19.01.2006 05:30 |
Thanks for sharing this Roy ( and not acting so selfish) in the quality it was ment to be shared. I just wonder, where are all the seeders at the moment ( there are one seeder)...is it still just hit and run? |
| PBB 19.01.2006 10:31 |
Thank you everyone. 2-3 seeders at the moment, so I will finish in a few days. ;-} |
| Marcl 19.01.2006 11:38 |
I'm not seeing any peers but I am seeding... |
| Rado 22.01.2006 07:37 |
'cause the record is old and is not the best, i've tried to clean track 9 (flac -> wav -> mp3 192) preserving the frequencies (as mp3 can). i think i've done the best we can do. link try to download and let me know if you want the other track too.(my disponibility in time is very short ! :) ) ps : this is a compressed 192 mp3 fot testing. if you want all tracks i will upload all flac ( bittorrent if possible). bye |
| Fenderek 23.01.2006 12:31 |
There it is- one of the most amazing treasures ever shared on QZ and only after what- a week?- we have only 1-2 people seeding... How fucking lovely... Whatever. Thank you Roy!!! |
| Rik&Roll 23.01.2006 13:05 |
What do you mean? I´m still seeding, and at this moment nobody´s downing... |
| Fenderek 24.01.2006 05:13 |
I downed it, so THANK YOU! But I'm sure amount of people who already downloaded the thing PLUS the value of this recording... It's shocking there's like one seeder only... I'll be able to leave it open for nights (only- it's a work comp), so more people can get it- and maybe will leave it open over weekend... |
| jabbo5150 24.01.2006 19:29 |
Agreed on the seeding thing. I rarely upload here as there is little to nothing I have that people don't have here, but I ALWAYS seed stuff after I download it where as it seems a lot of folks here unfortunately just grab and go. Thanks for this show though! |
| MDNA 30.05.2006 13:22 |
Any chance for a seed on this? thanks |

Someone started a torrent in mp3 because he thought it hadn't been shared here in FLAC. Yes it has - here it is, for all those of you who prefer quality. Good download! :) |
| pittrek 02.08.2007 14:11 |
Hey Ginger, I've just written to that "other" thread that the FLAC version was shared here, and now I found this :) |
| Ginger01 02.08.2007 14:26 |
This just demonstrates why the thread with the FLAC files needs to be made a sticky - if the FLAC version can be found easily, I think most people will download that rather than the mp3. |
