I dont think the group would have stayed together. They may have done the occaisonal reuinion but I think they would have gone off and perused different interests. Freddie had said in an interview that he would always be involved in the music industry like writing or producing but could not see himself running around on stage when he was old. |

Queen still would have stayed together but probably would have taken another break. Like Freddie said they'd be together until they fucking died. |

Queen would be touring annually with a brand new album in between each tour, and the occassional solo album (even from Deaky). Each album would be as good as SHA and ANATO put together. Each tour would be bigger and better than the last. Freddie would regularly drink at my local where he and I would catch up on what had been going on and he would give me two autographed copies of every new piece of Queen merchandise (one for me, one to sell to my 'friends' on QZ). *Sigh* *Snaps back to reality* *Another sigh* |

Queen would have broken up after 1986 I think. They'd probably do one or two projects together but nothing spectacular. |

I think theyd be like Paul McCartney. And make albums and Tour still. And in some hiatus periods, still be doing side projects, including producing or whatever. |

Since music is so terrible today I wonder if Queen would have started to "go in that direction' Im not trying to say Queen would start sucking!! Its just hard for me to think that they would still have such amazing music like they did while being in 2006..ya know? |

Actually, this has been on my mind lately...here's what I think... Freddie would have done another solo album during the oddball Queen hiatus...and I know he would have done an album, or maybe a few songs with Aretha Franklin, maybe even worked with Michael Jackson again, who knows?? But I think Freddie's voice would just continue to get better and better, like it was in the last few years. Brian would still be producing, working with the Foo Fighters here and there on hiatus time, and God only knows who else, as well as doing an occasional solo project, and guesting with other bands on stage. Roger...well, he's Roger...not much would change...enjoy his skiing holidays, putting out the occasional solo project here and there. And John..well, quite honestly, I believe he would have got fed up with the whole touring bit, preferring to stay at home with his wife and children. I feel he would have left sometime around '94 or '95, but still having his finger in the pie by watching over the business affairs, along with Freddie. But Queen would still be performing...my God, would i have loved to see things like Hitman and Innuendo on stage...with Freddie performing them...they would be putting out albums and taking the occasional hiatus here and there. Anyone else agree?? Lemme know!! |

Queen would be performing as always. It was Freddie's death that changed everything IMO. Yes Brian and Roger are the original founders, but it was Freddie that transformed them(Smile) into Queen;) But I do recall Freddie stating something to the effect of: "I won't make old bones,my dear-that would be boring." Hello from Rai |
chefman5150 12.01.2006 03:14 |
He did say that, but I think he was saying this because he knew something was going on with him...granted, he didn't know that he had AIDS until '87, but it played on his mind that after the life in the fast lane lifestyle, that something was wrong. |

I don't think Queen would have parted at all. If they were going to do that, it would have been after The Hot Space album. I think they had always believed in the force of the band and though yes, there may have been breaks, I am confident they would be still a force going today. If you want proof, look at The Miracle sessions- fred didn't say look I'm ill, let's record an album- it started like any other project. |
DreaminQueen 21.01.2006 17:13 |
Thats a great point Asterik. And i dont know why Hot Space has caught such a bad rep. Its just a different direction. I guess sometimes people just dont like change. Sure its not the usual Queen, but hey, nothing wrong with a new direction once and a while. |

Freddie would retire from the music biz and open up a chain of pizza stores around the world. |

No Freddie would become the Emperor of the universe and every year he'd have a great big party on Mercury (and all Queen fans would be invited) |
