Hi everybody,
I've been a Queeen fan and bootlegs trader from France for many years.
As I'm very found of the Jazz European and japanse Tours, I'm currently looking for a very special stuff, the complete audio recording of the gig by Queen on February, 23rd, 1979, at the Pabeillon de Madrid.
I know a part of this gig is available on video, as I have the DVD already. Moreover, the CDs called "Pieces of Madrid" or "Radio Performance" are only the video shoot. I mean the titles which are available - on both audio and video - are :
We will rock you (overdubbed by spanish radio)
Sheer heart attack (overdubbed by spanish radio)
Interview in spanish
Let me entertain you
Somebody to love
We will rock you
We are the champions
Consequently, is there anyone there who is able to tell me if the complete gig is avaialble or not ? I'm ready for a swap (please notcie I don't buy Queen booltegs).
Thanks a lot for your time,
LONG LIFE TO QUEEN !
Cheers,
Franck
Gidday mate, I don't have the gig or anything, but you'll probably have more luck if you put this in the REQUEST section.
Out of curiousity, why are you so anxious for this gig? Most of the gigs from the Jazz tour Freddie's voice is in pretty bad shape!
Hi,
Thanks for your mail.
Could you tell me where I can find the request section, please ?
Even though Freddie's voice was quite bad, even hoarse sometimes - Tokyo Budokan on April 1979 for instance - I'm in love with this tour, maybe thanks to Don't Stop Me Now in the set list.
Thanks a lot,
Franck
Hi sir GH,
first of all, I thank you for your mail.
Are you Bob ? the author of the site written at the bottom the mail which is above ?
I've already seen your site, as you're a Queen bootlegs trader, and I've probably ever sent you a mail in order to do swaps. I do believe you come from Canada, don't you ? Some traders have already told me a few words about you and your site... if you're OK for swaps and interested in my list, let me know.
Of course, Queen was a band which consisted of 4 guys and, despite of his voice which was sometimes in a bad shape, Freddie was great every night on stage. moreover, the other members of the band were great too (especially Roger's voice and Brian's guitar solos)
Let us take the example of the gig at Tokyo Budokan on april, 25th, 1979. This is the best gig I've ever heard altough Freddie's voice was completely hoarse ! Listen to the Japanese fans !!!
cheers,
Franck
Hi Franck.
I don't have the Jazz show what you are looking for. But I can trade other shows with you, if you like.
If you're interested, mail me your list and maybe we can work something out. Just check my profile.
Cheers,
Rick
