i havent concidered yet-- kinda thinnk it's better with 8-(0 |
Freya is quietly judging you. 07.01.2006 08:36 |
Well, it depends, IMO Freddie looks better without (I think he looked best between 1973-76)It was certainly signified a departure of Queens old style when he grew the moustache and I prefer Queens earlier stuff(don't get me wrong i do like the later stuff too)But yes, I prefer him without the moustache. |
magicalfreddiemercury 07.01.2006 10:07 |
Oh, with with with!!! Definitely. It's more than just a hairy lip, it's like he grew up when he grew his mustache. He oozed confidence. He was always sexy but IMO, more so when he grew comfortable with himself. I think his mustache was the most vivid sign of his new comfort. Oh, so sexy. <sigh> |
DavidRFuller 07.01.2006 10:16 |
A lot of people started throwing razors on stage at concerts when Freddie grew his moustache. I think he looks better without one. |
magicalfreddiemercury 07.01.2006 10:42 |
Wasn't that because they didn't like the 'gay' connection? |

In his early days in the 70's he looked ok without but i kinda like him with it in the 80's... i think getting it removed in the late 80's was a bad mistake... it made him look macho which he liked |
Forever88 07.01.2006 11:53 |
i like the whole stubble beard thing myself |
eedodededededea 07.01.2006 12:09 |
his moustache looked the best on the 1984 photo in The Works. without-- in 1989 in breakthru clip(if its not a mistake) when he was unshaved 8-(0 |

between when he didn't have one in the 70's and did in the eighties i definataly prefer with. however, i think he looked great with the beard during the miracle and i think he looked really great in the video for crazy little thing called love. |

Asterik 07.01.2006 16:54 |
Freddie looked better with the moustache- and I base that comparison on the GP video where you see both- I think that his image and a clean-shaven Fred doesn't quite have the same presence. |
PinkInk 07.01.2006 17:04 |
Its hard to decide..but i like him a bit more without it |
it was electric7 07.01.2006 17:18 |
wow im really shocked! I really liked it without, like the really early seventies with the eyeliner and stuff :) I love when he shaved the mustache off in the 80s,like for The Great Pretender! There is a sexyness about the mustache though |

Well he looked better with and without it. He wouldn't have suited it on the 70s and it was better in the 80s. I like how he grew a beard in the late 80s. And when he was ill he looked better without a moustache. It probably would have made him look more ill. |

Eww everybody I knew hated it when he got it. He looked like such a cool rock star in 1979, then with the mustache he just looked like my neighbor or any average Joe running around on stage IMHO. I dunno he just went from so cool to looking silly I thought. But I have a theory: I think most people tend to like him best the way they saw him the most originally. So I would like his '70s look best, while newer fans would like the mustache since that's how he is on the DVDs.... |
Munchsack 08.01.2006 04:36 |
It suited him only with short hair (which was the only time he ever had it, obviously). If he had had it with long hair, it would have ruined the look. I think losing the moustache later in the 80s was not such a good idea. My favourite two Freddie looks are: Precisely as he was on the cover of Queen II and Precisely as he was at Live Aid. So, really, it depends on his hair. |
MelinaMercury 08.01.2006 07:53 |

john bodega 08.01.2006 11:04 |
I reckon he was better bearded, it covered up the fact he had a huge jaw and cheekbones a little better. It was just a good look for him. |

To me Freddie was way hotter without the moustache. Back in the 1970s, he was just so cute. I'm not saying that he wasn't still attractive looking with the moustache. I just thought that he looked too much like one of the Village People. |
