Hello Queenzoners, Well I thought of sharing ONLY one other clip from the video, so my question is which one would you choose: 1) Garden Lodge tour in the house (in fact it shows the Mews and some of Freddies comments regarding glass doors he made in Japanese style for the Mews) filmed in 1989 (Little dark here and there) 2) A clip of his New York daughters (Tor, Joe Scardilli etc) in the garden of Garden Lodge on a sunny summer day) also showing Freddie Filmed in 1986 (full bright video daylight) (as mentioned on page 167 of Peter Freestone's book,english paperback edition regarding an "al fresco lunch" 3)Freddie on his couch with his New York friends listening to his own song We are the champions (pretty loud) and later on signing some autographes for his friends' friends. Filmed 1986 (rather dark, not too much light) Well just vote for one ...(the clips are average 30 seconds each, so I am not sharing the complete movie whatsoever,its just my final xmass present to you all) Well let me know here on the forum !!! Sad to see Freddie's private videos and memories being made so freely available to any Tom, Dick or Harry. Not too sure he would have appreciated such personal footage of him and his friends filmed within his own home being distributed like this, especially as he was such a private man. Don't really see there musical relevance to Queen. Maybe I'm missing the big picture, but I'm sure most people would be mortified too see private videos being uploaded to an unknown public audience. Just my two cents! |

Like I said, I am just sharing a little bit more than what has been available up till now ... I respect your opinion, but in general after more than 14 years, do you think it's completely inappropriate to share a 30 seconds clip? I know it's private video, but many has been on recent documentaries anyway ... and it does make people smile or be happy to see some of the real freddie peace :) Stefan |

The demos though have a musical significance to queen/freddie. They are either early copies of the final product or material that has been for some reason discarded by the band. As for what has been shown in documentaries, apart from the ridiculous Freddie's Loves, which I personally think stepped over the line and would have never been given the go-ahead by freddie or the band, nothing has been officially shown which invades the privacy of freddie and his closest friends. And what about the others in the footage? Would they agree to there memories being uploaded on the internet? I think on this occasion, mainly as it was video taken from within Freddie's home, i think the material is a little too personal. I am glad though that you can respect my opinion and I think it is great that you share to make people happy. So many share for the wrong reasons, quickly venting there anger at the lack of thanks, as if they should be given a knighthood for sharing. Matt |

Matt, Like I said, i respect your opinion ... but i am just giving something back to the Queenfans in general ... just a small piece ...and from the responses i can see people are smiling and are happy to have a little insight on freddie's life ... Again, I dont want to exploit this in any way , just to be grateful for all the people who have shared a lot of new things on the net recently ... Like you say, it is just my opinion, I in no way intend to argue. Again, I think your intentions are all for the right reasons, you are sharing for others and not yourself, which again is commendable as you dont seem to be doing it to gather support or praise for yourself. I was just curious to hear others' views on the validity of these snippets being shared in relation to Queen or Freddie as musicians or performers, and if they cross the boundaries of privacy. I am uploading at at rapidshare ... its going pretty ok. I am using a CDMA Wireless mobile phone internet connection in Romania (the first in Europe using broadband internet for mobile use using CDMA) anyway enough about the technical stuff haha ... I am enjoying a wine and a cigarette at my favourite pub/restaurant while uploading the file ... I will announce it in 30 minutes (its 25 MB) .... Stefan |
