i was just watching the fill clip for it and i was wondering if that is an actual rehersal or is it completely staged.
And also apart from the solo and the small stumming beofre it is there other guitar in the main verse just to give it more texture. Im just judging this by the film clip and i know brian still played on the clips if there wasnt any guitar but im just wondering.

I wish Freddie's death was staged. I'd love to be walking down the street and pass a well-dressed bearded man who with a flash of those unmistakable cat-like brown eyes set me on my ass. Mind you, I'd get right up and set him on his for putting me through so much sorrow over the years.
As for the original question, of course the shots were staged - a professional camera crew didn't just happen to be passing through a secure recording session and pull off some shots of a flawless one-take recording of one of Queen's greatest hits! Look at the footage of the making of One Vision - the boys plainly didn't like being filmed while actually trying to get some work done.

I really do not like this song. I always skip it.
I didnt always like it either, may I ask why?
I absolutely LOVE this song. It's the reason I became a Queen fan in the first place. The harmonies are outrageous. There's a little bit of everything in it - ballad, rock. I can't imagine what you don't like about it but I'm curious to know.

Well, I don't know, because I like BoRhap, which is very like it in a lot of ways, and Innuendo, too. It's just weird that I don't like it. I want to, but I can't. I'm sorry.
It was staged. All videos like that are staged. Because not many bands record while having guitar, bass, drums and vocals +piano being played at the same time. Its usually all broken down part by part.

Yea i know, sometimes i think that could be the greatest thing ever...
Alas, i shall say, it is not true
:-(
And SOMEBODY TO LOVE IS ONE OF THE GREATEST SONGS EVER! Its just amazing! And the fact that it was only 3 of them singing these incredible harmonies blows my mind everytime, i love the message of the song because its extremely relateable, and i love to sing it myself, albeit, not as good a Freddie or even close, but you can feel the passion in every ounce, cell and note of that song. God its fantastic!
