Hey all you Dutchies,
Queen didn't make nr. 1 in the radio 2 top 2000... what happened... I asked everyone around here to vote... I even posted this in the news section....
What went wrong?? Didn't we vote?? Or have all dutch suddenly changed their mind on the best song ever made???
IT'S THE FUCKING 30TH ANIVERSARY FOR FUCK'S SAKE!! WE SHOULD HAVE WON!!!
I think Boh Rhap went 2nd now.... but I'm not sure.... It wouldn't be so bad if it was not a FUCKING DUTCH SONG that made number 1.....
I just don't get it.... anyone has an explaination???
Sorry about this, but I'm really frustrated right now... it should have been just like all these years... by the time it's 12 o'clock, we should here Boh Rhap.... Not some stupid dutch song.....
We're not gonna let this happen next year okay?
If they picked a Dutch song as No.1, then it was obviously rigged by the gov't to boost Dutch morale - I mean seriously, what are the chances of everyone voting for a song from their country...although...A-Ha has continued to make awesome music in Norway right through to today, even though they haven't had airplay in North America since 1984...
I think Boudewijn de Groot's "Avond" is a very fine song, but it's not the song I would have voted to the top. Perhaps people just get a bit bored with seeing BohRap as the #1 year after year, and some of the BohRap voters have voted for something else this year, such as "Love of my Life" or "Who Wants To Live Forever" which also traditionally score high in the Top 2000.
Anyway, it's still a bit sad that the year doesn't end with the BohRap gong, that just doesn't feel right I suppose. I guess I can always start the second-to-last track of A Night At The Opera at 23:54.05 on the 31st december myself, and get the same effect.

Every bloody year Bohemian Rhapsody would end on number one We already know it is the best song ever, don't worry. I mean the fact that a dutch song ended on number 1, is just the proof that people wanted something different this year.
A nice song from Boudewijn De Groot, but indeed i know better ones.
Bohemian Rhapsody is just the best song ever. That's a fact. Why even be botherd when people want something different?
Hi folks,
I know I overreacted a bit, but it's just that I was a bit dissapointed (okay, that's an understatement) I had a night sleep and I feel better ;)
The idea of putting a CD on wasn't that bad...
I know, it's still the best song ever...no matter what any fucking poll says...
We know better :)
Sorry about my frustration yesterday, but I needed that of my chest..... I just couldn't believe it... but well.. who cares anyway...
Thanks for bringing me back to reality :P ;)
It's a pitty that Bohrap isn't no.1. But I also think that you can blame it to the radio 2 presenters, they promoted to not-vote for Bohrap and instead of it vote 'Avond'. It isn't a really nice song, he's done much, much better ('Meneer De President'), if Queen shouldn't be at 1, it should have been Deep Purple or something... But NOT Avond!
Why didn't Boh Rap went to the number 1 is because there are some people who put Innuendo on there number 1 spot.
So Boh Rap got less votes and Avond by Boudewijn de Groot got more votes by his fans.
Next year it will (must) be on the number 1
