Section 3. After six shows in three different countries I am FINALLY on Brian's side of the stage! :)
In lieu of a parking lot tailgate party, since it's on a weeknight and the MCI Arena doesn't have a proper parking lot, I move that we have our "tailgate party" at Drinx in the MCI Arena (*see edit below!) Any other suggestions within staggering distance of the venue? Please post here. We shall discuss. We shall party massively.
Edit: The Washington, DC pre-gig Tailgate party will be at the DC Hard Rock Cafe. See Chamo 25's post below.

I was last month at the McCartney concert at the MCI, I hope I can get good seats (if I'm lucky) anyways, Hard Rock Cafe D.C. can also be a good option for the tailgate, what do you think Cindy?

I've got section 3 seats too!! That is way better seats than I was expecting!
A meet-up before the show sounds like a good time...I know of several people coming to this show so I bet it'd get a good turnout.

Hola Luis! Good to hear from you. I hope you made it up and back to the NJ show.
The HRC is only about a block away from the MCI Center. KillerKing840 tells me that a pair of Freddie's pants are on display there. We had a great meetup at the Manchester HRC over in the UK before the gig there last May. I think your idea's a winner, Luis. Let's make it the DC HRC.
We shall party massively.
Cindy, When did you get tickets for that show? When does the presale begin? I am trying to get tickets for that gig. My older brother lives down there & we are planning to go. Not the brother you met in NJ. He's younger than me.
Yes, where did you guys get the tickets? I'm just waiting for the pre-sale tomorrow...Anyways, I have another issue about the concert at the MCI center and I need your opinion. My wife and I are expecting our first baby (he's expected by late December or early January), we have no family here in the DC area meaning that nobody can take care of the baby. Now my question is, do you think a two months old can attend a concert? the idea freaks me out, but it'll be sad if I miss this concert, what do you guys think I should do?
Hi Just found this thread, so I'll repost,
I have a ticket for Sec 4, Row H, Seat 10. Going alone & looking to hook up before the show for some drinks & good times. Talk to you soon Crazy Little Thing.
I'm in a similar situation. I'll be 38 weeks preggo at the time of D.C. concert, and my husband is deployed. My heart breaks to have to miss this concert, but I'm afraid it would be too risky to go.
HRC sounds like a winner for us. Maybe we'll take it upon ourselves to call the place and reserve an area (or at least get them a couple of Queen vids or CDs to play...uhm, er, or Q+PR).
DC is the only gig we'll be attending. A nice birthday present for me. Unlike NJ, where we were Section 4, Row A, we've settled for clubhouse level seats, section 214, row E. A better chance to view the light show.

Thank you Mean Mistreater!! and good luck with your baby too! We haven't decided what we are going to do with our baby yet, all I did was to get the tickets and they are Sec 101 Row D.
Steve, I'm glad you're coming to DC, and we sure shold let HRC about us meeting there that day, looking forward to see you there guys...
Luis
Mean Mistreater do you live in the DC area?
I live on Fort Meade. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to attend the concert though. My family would have a heart attack if they knew I was planning on going. At least I did see them in Jersey.
But wouldn't that be awesome to say you were born at a Queen concert?
Is it your first baby? ours is our first one.... what if you have the baby two weeks before the concert, would you still go? I doubt it but it could be an option. If you can't go at least you and your husband can meet with us at the HRC.
My friend lives in Odenton, which I think is close to Fort Meade, nice area!!
Guys, we're just one month away!! how many people will be going to the HRC in DC before the show? Let's start counting ourselves to have an idea...
1 & 2) Me and my wife.
P.S. I am out of town, but as soon as I get back I will call HRC to see if they can play something nice for us that day.
