What can I say. I've been a Queen fan for over 25 years, but never got a chance to see them in concert, though I did see Brian and his band several years back at Royal ALbert Hall.
The show was brilliant. It was identical to the Aruba setlist, except they DID play '39. Brian seemed taken aback when the crowd went crazy as he said "...this is the first time in 23 years we're here in the States...". It was great to be at a concert where EVERYONE in the audience knew the words to the songs.
The songs:
REACHING OUT
TIE YOUR MOTHER DOWN
FAT BOTTOM GIRLS
ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST
CRAZY LITTLE THING CALLED LOVE
BAD COMPANY
SAY ITS NOT TRUE
'39
LOVE OF MY LIFE
HAMMER TO FALL
FEEL LIKE MAKIN’ LOVE
DRUM SOLO
I’M IN LOVE WITH MY CAR
GUITAR SOLO
LAST HORIZON
THESE ARE THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES
RADIO GA GA
CAN’T GET ENOUGH
ROCK AND ROLL FANTASY
I WANT IT ALL
BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY
THE SHOW MUST GO ON
ALL RIGHT NOW
WE WILL ROCK YOU
WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS
GOD SAVE THE QUEEN
The band seem to truly enjoy playing onstage together. Some of the highlights would have to be:
Reaching Out, with Paul slapping hands with the crowd along the catwalk to start the show
Tie Your Mother Down, just a great energy song
'39/Love of My Life, Brian's singalong never fails to bring the audience together
Hammer to Fall, starting as an alternate slow version then going fast
There Are The Days of Our Lives, sung by Roger, with videos of the band from back in the day
I'm in Love With My Car, Roger sounded and played phenomenal
Bohemian Rhapsody, with Freddie on video (!) doing the piano intro & vocals
Can't Get Enough (and the other Bad Co songs), just sounding much better live than on vinyl/cd.
All I can say, is if you get a chance in the Spring to see Queen+PR when they tour the US, GO!!! I will be on the floor, that's for sure!!!
Cheers,
-Steve
i definatly LOVED Last Horizon- i loved it it was probably my favorite song next to these are the days of our lives.
are they sure they are doing a spring tour in the US? If they are then maybe ill see you down there on the floor.
you scuba dive? ive got my liscense, i got it when i was 12.
Jamie-
From what I understand, after the LA show, they will be doing a tour of Japan before coming back to the USA to do a true U.S. tour.
Been diving for the past 5 years, not too much, but warm places- Mexico, NZ, Australia, The Philippines, Key West, etc.
See you in DC!!!
Dears, there are already four NJ-review-topics in here! Maybe it is better to keep it all in one place instead of starting yet another topic...
Cheers!

but if u look at their tour dates its saying more for Europe, is it after that?? Well that news does make me happy to hear it from someone.
ive dove in st maarten (where i got my liscense) about 5 times, Florida and the Bahamas. IVe gone diving a total of prolly 8 or 9 times in the past 2 years, there's not very good diving in new york so i dont go that often.
yea everyone seems to forget to mention that one, that greatest moments in the concert, for me were whenever they had a picture of Freddie up or singing. Then it kind of stroke me odd that they started playing Eminem but then i heard Brian's guitar inlaced in with te song so u know the concert was starting.
