Queen piano pieces in my opinion are awesome. So rhythmic plus they fit the songs well with impecible timing and accompiniment. I can play Bo Rhap, Dont Stop me Now, Love of my Life, Seven Seas of Rhy, Black Queen, bits of Killer Queen, Somebody to Love and Loverboy. My absolute favourite though is Lap of the Gods Revisited. If you can play piano, then learn that one, its class. :-) |

Awesome...I can only really play Bo Rhap and You Take my Breath Away...oh and It's A Hard Life. I enjoy playing Bo Rhap. Do you know where one can get midi files with the piano tracks accurately transcribed? I've got hundreds, but only a few are worthwhile. I would love to play In the Lap of the Gods (revisited) |
| FreddieTheAngel 24.09.2005 11:10 |
link Most accurate I could fine. Do you know any free midi converters though? |
| gihona 24.09.2005 11:11 |
I can play a great version of Bo Rhap in its entirety - that is my favorite. i also lOVEEE to play You Take My Breath Away, Love of My Life, You're My Best Friend and My Melancholy Blues. Freddie's songs are so fucking great to play on the piano, the man was so talented. now i am trying to learn The Millionaire Waltz but this one's pretty hard. anyone's playing it? |
| FreddieTheAngel 24.09.2005 11:13 |
First 3 pages yeh. Its simplish, you just need practice :P |
| ~-:Moet et Chandon:-~ 24.09.2005 11:15 |
Yeah I know Bo Rhap out my head by now, always great fun to play tho. Thanks for the link, will check it out, as for free midi converters: try MidiNotate Composer. It's only a 30-day trial, but the program is rather silly, you can just set your system clock back. If you want to take the sneaky route lol. |
| FreddieTheAngel 24.09.2005 11:16 |
Yeh. But I forgot to set it back lol. Do you know any other 'sneaky' tricks to get it back once the trial is ended? |
| ~-:Moet et Chandon:-~ 24.09.2005 11:17 |
Also, I was wondering, which piano pieces sound good on their own? Bohemian Rhapsody does rather, since it's such a recognisable tune and it varies itself a fair amount. Love of My Life is another nice one to play. But for example, a piece like Play the Game, it sounds terribly bland with just piano. |
| ~-:Moet et Chandon:-~ 24.09.2005 11:17 |
Yeah, my trial ended lol, all u need to do is set it back to some time within the 30 day trial when u first got the program, and voila, it will work! |
| FreddieTheAngel 24.09.2005 11:18 |
Lap of the Gods does on its own, so does Seaven Seas of Rhye. Bo Rhap is great when arranging. |

Sometimes it does wonders to merge a vocal track and a piano track of a midi -- for parts of Love of My Life, for example, or Made in Heaven -- but often it gets too complicated. So you have to be careful, sometimes the thing expects one to have eleven fingers lol. |
| FreddieTheAngel 24.09.2005 11:21 |
Lol You got Made in Heaven? Smart. I spent ages trying to find it, still never have lol. |
| ~-:Moet et Chandon:-~ 24.09.2005 11:23 |
Yes, why as a matter of fact there are two links to a Made in Heaven midi on that website you suggested to me. Unless you are talking about a different version? |
| FreddieTheAngel 24.09.2005 11:24 |
I meant the music, my midi notate had run out by that time. |
| ~-:Moet et Chandon:-~ 24.09.2005 11:25 |
Oh yes, Nevermore is fabulous to play! One must merge the vocal track, though. I heard a rather nice MP3 that was a piano-only version of Nevermore. |
| ~-:Moet et Chandon:-~ 24.09.2005 11:25 |
Oh ye, I've got the music...just do a few tricks to your midinotate, you'll have it in no time! |
| FreddieTheAngel 24.09.2005 11:25 |
You got any you can send me by any chance :P |
| ~-:Moet et Chandon:-~ 24.09.2005 11:28 |
if u can provide me with an email addy, I'll quickly have my program transcribe the piano score. |
| FreddieTheAngel 24.09.2005 11:29 |
apocolypse_exodus@hotmail.com That would be awesome if you could cheers :) |
| ~-:Moet et Chandon:-~ 24.09.2005 11:30 |
ok sure, will send one in a few minutes |
| ~-:Moet et Chandon:-~ 24.09.2005 11:37 |
Ok check your email -- It's a TIFF file, you might need the fonts that came with MidiNotate to be installed for it to display correctly. Also on this transcription I have included the Vocal, Piano, Guitar, Synth and Bass tracks separately. Tell me if you prefer them transcribed differently, e.g. Piano and Vox merged. |

I can play a bunch of "Enueno" (a.k.a. Excersise in free love). |
| FreddieTheAngel 24.09.2005 13:40 |
You got the music for it? |
| Smartie 24.09.2005 15:13 |
I'm a piano player and I can play a couple of songs perfectly. "Play the game" "Save me" "Sail away sweet sister" "Too much love will kill you" "My life has been saved" "Is this the world we created" "It's a hard life" "Bohemian Rhapsody" "Killer Queen" "Somebody to love" "Seven seas of Rhye" and "We are the champions". I'm playing piano at a hotel and ejoy playing these Queen tunes :) *hehe* They rock! |
| Smartie 24.09.2005 15:13 |
Ahh i forgot "Godd old fashioned lover boy" and "love of my life" of course ;) |
| FreddieTheAngel 24.09.2005 16:07 |
What grade would you say Bohemian Rhapsody is? |
| Chamo25 24.09.2005 19:21 |
I can play Bohemian Rhapsody, It's a hard life and a bit of few others. I downloaded this program called anvilstudio where you can read the music from Midi files, that's how I learn most of the songs. I also have some fun playing the piano with the backing tracks (guitar, bass and drums) I just put the volume down for the piano and play alone with the backing tracks. |
| inthelapofthegods 24.09.2005 20:32 |
i can play my fairy king and itlotg...r and seven seas and hammer to fall (piano for all ) |

I can play most of We Are The Champions, although i'm a bit wary of learning songs on the piano cos i don't want to 'spoil' them for myself... see Justin Hawkins on 'Fat Bottomed Girls' "I grew up with that song, I'm so precious about it that I've never even attempted to learn how to play it on the guitar. 'Jazz' is my favourite Queen album by far." oh, and half of Melancholy Blues |
