Ok guys, this is the un(famous) concert where some guys on the audience started to fight right after "Seven Seas Of Rhye" and the show had to be stopped for a moment... Because of this happening, Freddie did his usual vocal improvisations before "Tear It Up"... It's said that Brian was hit by a can and almost refused to play the encores... Anyway, let's have some technical info =)
The one doesn't include "Now I'm Here", and I don't think there's any more complete recording available (who knows?)...
Parts of "Tear It Up" and "A Kind Of Magic" have lower quality but the rest is at least Very Good. It includes "Gimme Some Lovin'" and parts of "Keep Yourself Alive", which is a rare thing in '86 concerts... Also, they didn't play "God Save The Queen" (as they didn't want to upset the Irish)
Queen's Magic Tour Live In Dublin, Ireland '86
Complete Recording (If we don't count "Now I'm Here" =) )
To me, sound quality is Very Good, but you can improve it by tweaking your equalizers (I use the Winamp ones)...

I was there, Brian wasn't hit but almost. They kept leaving the stage because of the behaviour of the crowd (remember some fans had died at a gig previous to this, Sweden I think). I was at Wembley the following Friday and the difference in the performance was incredible. I think Freddie said he'd never play Ireland again after Slane, he should have realised that we're not all like those few idiots there that day. Because the town of Slane had no street lights at that time the concert had to finish before nightfall which made that wonderful lighting rig rather redundant.
Yeah it was just dusk when we were leaving the site. I swore I'd never go back to Slane after that day and I never have. It's a field shaped like an amphitheatre with a wonderful castle overlooking it. Of course it rained that day and it became mucky and slippery and all through the Bangles and Chris Rea the crowd were fine but I suppose a few were drinking all day so they kicked into gear when Queen came on. Freddie wore the white 'toy soldier' jacket and had the crown with him for the first few songs, wearing it from time to time. The stage eventually became littered with debris from the idiots throwing stuff. You can hear Freddie's discust on the recording.
Thank you very much for sharing this one !
Wow, I never knew about this fight during the show ... (Bunch of ********!) -> Grrrrr
