No this is not a joke. But I am trying to think of SOMETHING, ANYTHING, besides BPP crap.
But seriously, I am Jewish, and know quite a bit of Yiddish.
On both the Tour EPK, and the ROTC EPK and in alot of past live and written interviews, Paul says words like ''Schlep'', ''Kevetch'', etc.
I have no idea if Paul is Jewish (I checked several bios on him on allmusic.com, wiki, books,)..
... or if Paul has any Jewish relatives, but...having myself grown up around blues, R&B and Jazz cats, even the ones who are not Jewish, seem to know the lingo because they hang around alot of musicians who are Jewish, (and Paul has that blues/R&B background).
Just thought it was interesting. Anyone know IF Paul is Jewish or has Jewish relatives?
Well here's 2 answers.
1)I forgot Paul gigged with Peter Green who I already know is Jewish, real name Peter Allen Greenbaum.
2) Paul Kossoff was Jewish. (I never knew that until now.) link
''He (Paul Kossoff), was the son of Jewish actor, David Kossoff, who spent the remainder of his life campaigning against drugs.''
Paul Rodgers and he were mates and colleagues in Free, so that's at least a big answer. At the very least Paul Rodgers probaly picked it up from Paul Kossoff and Peter Green.
Still trying to see if Mr. R has any Jewish relatives.

Hey I said I was trying to come up with something other than BPP crap. And I am NOT posting any big time serious Threads until BPP and the rest of QZ stop spamming all of the forums and covering up people's SERIOUS TOPICS.
Geez...at least I'm NOT posting to any of BPP's damn spam posts for the last 4 days like all the damn sheep here who in my opinion are worse than him, because if you all would stop answering the guy, he'd stop spamming, his threads would drop to the bottom,..
..and then I and other people on QZ could actually post some Serious, Intelligent threads that would get some posts and NOT be covered up by BPP's damn threads on all of the forums.
Have you seen A Mighty Wind, Arlene?
In it, Ed Begley, Jr. is a blond-haired, native Norweigan who immigrated to the US and became head of PBN, the Public Broadcast Network. He is an avid folk music fan and peppers his language with the odd Yiddish phrase.
Get it - blond Norwegian kevetching.
That's why this reminds me of Ed Begley, Jr. in A Mighty Wind.
For further proof, dialogue from the movie:
Lars Olfen (Begley's character): The naches that I'm feeling right now... 'cause your dad was like mishpoche to me. When I heard I got these tickets to the Folksmen, I let out a geshreeyeh, and I'm running with my friend... running around like a vilde chaye, right into the theater, in the front row! So we've got the schpilkes, 'cause we're sittin' right there... and it's a mizvah, what your dad did, and I want to try to give that back to you. Okeinhoreh, I say, and God bless him.
