Do you like the new album cover?
I'd like to read your reasons...
why do you like it? or why don't you like it?
I voted "It is terrible"... the new album cover is just a picture from the audience, and you can only see many heads around... It's a very poor design I think.
Brian posted:
I think the cover we have achieved is highly original and will absolutely make waves everywhere ... this is a good example, maybe ! Controverial still, at our time of life ? !!
I think he is a little "Delusional". I doubt anyone will care. The only comment they will make is "taht is crap".
My issue with it is mainly the cheap looking fonts. I guess the picture isn't that exciting.
Whilst this is intangable, what gets me is that this is so very un-Queen. They used to have a sophistacated style. Now they go with cheap. or cheesy in the case of the promo photo they have sent out for the US tour.

I have to agree you are spot on here Richard.
What the hell is Brian thinking? One thing to do the spin PR and not knock that peice of crap, but to trumpet off about it like it is the most groundbreaking, ''controversial'' (well he got that right cuz it reeks!, though he actually thinks in the innovative, conceptual way..NOT).
I have to say that Brian can't actually think that sloppy, unprofessional looking job is the masterwork he proclaims it to be.
And while it looks bad for Queen to put out such crappy, lazy, lame looking artwork, it's worse to crow about it to this exaggerated extent which makes it all the more embarrasing.
Geez, quite a few Qzoners with little funds and on their own time, created much better artwork that they posted here on QZ.
Brian needs to get a clue.

I think their artwork started to go down the toilet starting with Queen Rocks. Even Roger said that looked like vomit. The singles from GHIII all had the same cover as the album aswell. It just seems like no effort is going into these things.
Brian cannot handle any critisism. I love their music, but he needs to learn to deal with people saying they don't like things that the put out.
The fact is you must be smoking crack if you think that the album cover looks good. The single cover looks better, but the red font spoils the overall look.
It's just UGLY! Gadverdamme...!
You don't see Queen, you don't see Paul Rodgers. The Q+PR-logo isn't there... then why the hell did they design a Queen+Paul Rodgers logo?? It has just nothing of the Queen + Paul Rodgers atmosphere. The red/orange - "WC Experience-style" - title is the ugliest one i've ever seen in my life.
Anybody could make this, for any band, any style of music...

P.S.
If you want, check my profile picture. That's the cover I made for the Arnhem 2005 concert... (whithout the "copyright"-shit of course ;))
I think that's more into the Q+PR-atmosphere ;)

I'm just hoping that it looks inferior
because it is an image on the computer.
Hopefully the printed booklet will look better.
It is similar to what happened with the MK cover.
The "crappy PhotoShop-ping" that everyone pointed
out ended up looking better on the actual product.
I'm not saying it will be THAT different,
but perhaps the slight improvement will make it tollerable.
your right brian cant handle criticism of any kind hes become very insular in his outlook on life in general. his soapbox depresses the life outa me.
Just had a peek today and hes bangin on about his new pc and how hard it is to learn the new software! my god he needs a kick up the arse.
It must be very nice to be in his position. money aint an issue, his profesional life is back on the map so whats his problem?
anita dobson perhaps????
It sucks - I agree that it should have had the new crest logo on it. I have seen a ton of awesome live pics & I can't see why they didn't throw one up there. They have been getting sloppy. If anyone else got the new We Will Rock You edition of Greatest Hits in the USA, you will see the trend. It has minimal pictures (the same ones you always see) in it and very short statements about the songs and I think there are typos. It's like they rushed it. Anyone else agree?
queen never had great album covers, when you think about it, only in the 70's did they have great art work. even then you had the plain cover of "jazz". queen should only be judged by the music, forget about the artwork. to me, their best album covers are queen2 and "anato, adatr, notw" and also made in heavin.
