If someone could tell me when "I'm Going Slightly Mad" and "These Are The Days Of Our Lives" videos were shot. I know that "Headlong" video was made in 1990, during the recordings for "Innuendo" . Now, watching the "Days Of Our Lives" documentary, I had the impression that "TATDOUL" was shot very very soon after "IGSM", because Freddie seems to be at his end of the powers. So please bring me the light. I want to know the truth. Pleeaaasse !!
P. S. Sorry if it's a stupid question or topic and for my english !
I think in a very rare occurance, the U.S. actually got to see TATDOOL first with that documentary. The whole idea of that doc was to promote Hollywood Records releasing all of the Queen albums that year, (produced by Buena Vista TV, a Disney company.. Disney owns Hollywood Records) and I seem to recall the documentary airing in late summer but I could be wrong.
these are the days of our lives was filmed in may 31st, and i´m going slyghtly mad on february of 1991.
show musy go on was on tv between october and november in 1991, because it was realised for greatest hits 2 album, which was realised on october 31st in 1991.
and these are the days of our lives was on tv in december, when it was realised as a double-a single.
If I remember well, I saw TATDOOL Monday night, 25th november at the BBC where they showed a Queen documentary with the intro by Elton John, as a tribute to Freddie.
Yep, TATDOOL was late May 1991. Unfortunately, Brian had other commitments and wasn't technically there, they inserted him later.
Slightly Mad is only a couple of months earlier than that but it's amazing just how much more movement he's capable of in that short period of time.
Same with Headlong, it's only a few months earlier than Slightly Mad but he's almost in fighting shape in that video. Heh.
I think the original poster is talking about that documentary that Axl Rose hosted. They did have clips of TATDOOL on it, I remember the word exclusive or first shown or something. It's been awhile since I seen that and I dont remember if they showed the entire video or just making of footage.
It's not the whole video on that documentary, but a good couple minutes or so of it at the very end. I don't know about the one with animation.. I never saw that version until 'Classic Queen' came out in early '92. I love that version btw. I think it works very well and captures the spirit of the song. And the classic style of animation reminds me of 'Save Me'. It almost seems like a sequel.
ok thanks. so if the TATDOUL video was shown in september or october, than I'm amazed. Anyone could see that freddie was in trouble from IGSM video. Now it should be clear for all that is his last goodbye. Amazing. Thanks again !
