VERY upset to hear this. Such a young woman. Shame. She was so supportive and inspiring to Christopher through his ordeal and gave him hope until the end. Hope she has family to be as supportive for her. She has my prayers and best wishes. |

I'm just wondering if she and Christopher were such sole mates that they are destined to be together in this world and the next almost at the same times. I hate to see their young son lose both of his parents but things work in such mysterious ways. My grandparents had been sweethearts since the age of 12. The morning my grandpa died, my grandma went in to a diabetic coma that night and never recovered. She died 9 months later. I hope she recovers and is able to live a full and happy life. It wouldn't be right for her life to end like this. |

that is so sad to hear i hope she beats it!!! i know ive said it before but thats what i lost my mother to lung cancer(small-cell) just over 4months ago and i saw her suffer in terrible pain so i know what her family is going thru, lisser thats is such a sad story with regards to ya grand parents i agree with ya it does sound like they were destined to be together:( |

My mom and dad who are deceased both smoked SIX packs a day. My grandmother who is deceased smoked SIX packs a day. My dad died when I was 7 of heart disease, diabetes, etc. My Mom had many types of cancer before she died. My grandmother died of colon cancer when I was only 18. My aunt was a chainsmoker but quit in her 30's after she got cervical cancer but was still trying to have a baby with my uncle. I have NEVER smoked, and never wanted to, BUT I lived with my mom til my early 30's and have been exposed non stop to 2nd hand smoke my entire life, so I am scared to death of getting cancer and I am sure I am a prime candidate. |

Her boyfriend took her to the hospital ER several times but BOY did she get angry with me whenever I would diplomatically suggest quiiting smoking. She just didn't give a shit...about killing herself, or me. Needless to say...I moved out of that place I shared with her. The smoke was killing me. She wants to kill herself fine. How long did your mother's battle last? well my mothers doc took nearly 3months to send her for blood tests and an exray as my mother first fell ill with her back she could barely walk it turns out she had a fractured spine and a collapsed vertibrae* and her doc sarcasticly said well we all get bad backs(grrrr) only wen my mother was slurring and gettin confused and dizzy doc sent her for blood tests etc.. turns out she had lung cancer and it was possible it had spread to her bones, she eventualy went anorexic and she tried to battle until she could no more and she lasted about 6 months it had spread to her stomach, but she suffered terrible pain the whole 6 months, its a really horrible way to go so i sympathize with you totally, arlene im so sorry sweetheart of your loss:( |

The real shame of it all is 98% of my family was already deceased before I was born or died when I was still a child...and ALL of their deaths were preventable. Everyone in my family was a chainsmoker their entire lives, as well as some being obese. Even my 2 godparents through marriage (not real godparents. that's just what I called them) that I was fortunate to get in my early 20's when my Aunt married (her husband's parents) ALSO were both chainsmokers and both died by my mid twenties after I became very close to them, and they had come to my college graduation as sort of my surrogate family. Now they are long deceased as well. All for stupid cancer sticks. |
