Hi folks, I got the 2trk Promo CD from Sheffield today. Take your hands off it, it´s NOT worth it !!! When i turned it on, i really thought i can´t believe it. Awful sound, not well mixed: Paul´s voice not strong enough & wrong singing, Brian´s guitar is very weird, and seems to be a bit out of tune, not the Brian sound i´m used to. I´m a musician myself, thanks to my ears i notice every little mistake.
Why the hell do they want to release this show & not instead any other, where they are in better shape ? Just because Freddie´s mum was present ?
They did a much better job in Vienna, Frankfurt, Budapest or Pesaro.
BE AWARE. THE MAGIC OF QUEEN IS GONE WITH THIS RECORDING !!!
What do you think about it ??
We can't think about it - we didn't hear it (the single I mean).
(BTW: if you want to promote album with Sheffield show, you won't release single from Budapest's gig, you know...)

Listen to the clip of WATC from Sheffied. It's class. it looks great and it sounds great. Paul can scream in tune. It's great.
If someone doesn't want to like it from the start- won't like it. I heard the promo- seemed fine to me. Footage looked AWESOME (WATC). I was there- magic was very much in the air...
I sent a reply once and it disappeared! Anyway, I too was at Sheffield, and it sounded bloody good to me! I went to be entertained by my favourite band, and thats what I got, Im not a musician unless by learning the piano I qualify as a beginner, however, I think we were just extremely
lucky that it was filmed, and lucky that the set list was so long because of it, and lucky to have some of Freddies family sharing the experience with us. I think some people just have sour grapes
because Sheffield WAS filmed, I couldnt say whether it was the best concert because it was the only one I could afford to go to, and it may not have been the best for whatever reason, but it was the best night out Ive had, and I dont personally care whether such & such was not as good as here or there, I love Queen, and felt
very priveleged to have them play to us.
Everything I have seen (WATC Clip) and heard (Promo tracks) have sounded pretty good to me.
If you don't like it don't buy it.
But I for one have already put my order in, and am NOT regretting it one bit having seen the excellent WATC clip.
I think it sounds great. Brian's guitar is a little bit out of tune, that's true. You can hear it during the solo in TYMD, but it's not that bad. It isn't noticeable in the rest of the song.
well i was at the sheffield gig and im sorry but i too am a musician and thanks to my ears i too can spot these mistakes but im sorry i didn't find any well exept once and it was a tiny little error and brians part i think they kick ass the magic of Quen is still alive the reaction of the fab crowd prooved just that hi to all you wonderful shefield peeps!!! x x x x
