I hate to be a bother, but....
When I was in high school, a concert was performed by a bunch of different bands in a tribute to Freddie. I taped it (yes, there was only vhs back then :-) but in the last 10 years or so, I seen to have lost it. It had to have been between 1989 and 1992. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might be able to get another copy of that? It was one of my most favorite things to watch. I am so not computer literate, I don't know how to search for these kinds of things. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks,
bearlgs
The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert (1992) is available officially on DVD. Be warned it is only the second part of the concert where John, Roger and Brian are playing with the guest musicians.

For whatever it is worth Gregg Brooks says that at some point this concert will be re-released in its entirety. Hopefully in boxed set form with d.v.d. and c.d....I think they can wait many years down the road though when there are many more live releases, the box set anthologys, and the live box set are already done.

It's not 'coz Video's have worse sound.
Not particularly. If you buy a brand new VHS tape, what I would recommend is to copy it into a DVD. The VHS has a sound quality just about as good as the DVD.
The problem with the VHS tapes is that they lose video and audio quality after you've seen them many times.

I don't know about others but I somehow prefer the 5.1 mix on DVD to the stereo version on VHS. Quite a difference.

Well fuck, that explains why my pornos have such horriable quality after these past few years.
