I just bought this album today, and I haven't listen to it yet. Before I do, I just wanted to make myself an idea of it, by asking you some comments - you people who have listened to this album so many times, could you tell me what it sounds like, is it good, which songs are good and which ones are not too good... well what are your thoughts on this album.
Thanks :)

This really isn't a good plan. This way you just take over the opinions of others. It's better to be isolated from other opinions and judge yourself. Your own opinion is way more important than those from others.
In my opinion it´s good, but it´s not his best album. His other projects ‘fun in space’, ‘electric fire’ and ‘happiness’ are much better!
But you should listen to it and make up your own opinion.
I like Strange Frontier better than Fun in Space, but I like Electric Fire better than Strange Frontier. Happiness falls somewhere in between.
Sounds like one of those crazy math problems I had when I was just a wee little girl...
I don't need people to tell me 'Don't listen to other people opinions, make your own' I'm not a fool, I can think for myself. I've listened to the album and made my own idea of it. I still wish I could have some of your comments, but if you don't want to give me some, forget it.

1. Happiness? (it's just super, not a bad song on there, great mood)
2. Strange Frontier (rock-solid compositions, good music, innovative)
3. Electric Fire (innovative with good songs)
4. Fun In Space (an abomination)
"Side A", or the first 5 songs on the CD, has 3 great songs and 2 decent covers. "Side B", or the last 5 songs, in my opinion, suck.
"Fun in Space" is still Roger's best solo album, although "Happiness" and "Electric Fire" are also good. "Strange Frontier" is his weakest solo album, but is perhaps his most memorable among longtime fans because of the strong singles "Man on Fire" and the title track, along with their videos. Despite being his weakest solo album, I still like "Strange Frontier" better than any of The Cross's albums.
That's my opinion. Everyone is free to disagree, as they surely do and will.

I tried to help you to give you a hint. Really thankful guy you are. forget it you won't get my opinion.
1. strange frontier: great song, nice viedeo
2. beautiful deams: good song
3. man on fire: ok
4. racing in the street: ok
5. masters of war: intense words, but very good
6. killing time: good song, great sound
7. abandonfire: great song, great sound
8. young love: ok
9. it´s an illusion: good rock song
10. i cry for you: ok
what do you think?
I quite like it, though I don't like how Roger goes all Bruce Springsteen on us. His vocal delivery and just some of the musical arrangements remind me of Springsteen's "Born In The USA" album, and while I really like Bruuuuce, it doesn't really fit Roger. Then again, 'I Cry For You' is my favorite song off the album. It's very Queen, isn't it?
I liked his more oddball "Fun In Space", while "Happiness?" may be my favorite solo album by a Queen member, period.

No hard feelings from me, really. I don't wanna start any fight with you or anyone. There's so many jerks on the board who are looking for this, but I'm not. If I offensed you, I apologize.
BTW I'm a girl :) but its allright
I had enough money on a gift card to buy all four of his solo albums...
I could only get one because you have to have a credit card to back order and special order...
The only one they had to purchase was Strange Frontier...I absolutely love it...I don't like Masters of War much though...
