Talbot/Little Chester Street? Proximity to Hyde Park? Can you guys please shed some light (locationwise) for a foreigner from a strange land?
Fenderek . . . see you there? ianshome? Of course there's the whole pick up the ticket at the box office scenario that might just foul up a nice afternoon of drinking, for me anyway . . .
Fenderek: your designated shirt for the day will be . . . ? ;-)
Manchester: Black Sabbath
Birmingham: Queen (wasn't it?)
Hyde Park:

If you click the link on my earlier post, you can get to a map. Apparently the Talbot is a pub about 0.3 miles from hyde park corner tube station.
As for t-shirts - mine's a tasty 1980 style Flash shirt that my wife bought me for my birthday this year. Lovely!
I have a thread going for this purpose called 'Hyde Park Meet'in Queen Tour 2005 section but no definite answers yet. I am up for a pub though, what time are people planning to go into Hyde Park?

My Thursday evening just opened up. How 'bout a pre-pre-gig meetup. A warm-up session if you will . . .
I can do that too :D We could all pay a visit to a Hyde Park just to inspect if everything is in order and have a drink or two.
Capital idea! Let's not get arrested for attempting to scale the fence or anything. A Thursday meetup might also get some of us in the right frame of mind for picking up our tickets at the box office the next day . . .
Meetup location suggestions? Close to Hyde Park? I leave tonight. Must remember to pack my Freddie Mercury socks . . .

Hm no idea... I work until 5 o6 and after I'm free as a bird... so anything after that is fine for me. As for the place, we can try to check some of the pubs being already suggested for Friday meetup?
(posted elsewhere as well)
Story of my life . . . After watching Live 8 on the web yesterday, I arrived on the site in London today. Took pics of the littered grounds, and the stage from a distance. The big LONDON sign and the Live 8 guitars are still flanking each side of the stage (at 12:00 pm-ish GMT) The Who and Pink Floyd kicked ass here but a few hours before I arrived. Oh well . . .
The real point of this is, I asked a guy working security today at Hyde Park(keeping people like me from trying to get in the gate to take a better picture) if he knew where the Ticketmaster box office would be for the Queen gig. He was standing at Gate 14, which is near Speakers Corner (that was a trip, but not for discussion here.) He said the box office was at Gate 1 in the opposite direction toward where the Live 8 stage is. I am assuming this guy knows what he is talking about . . . a few of us who want to do the meetup need to get our tix for the gig, so I thought I'd share whta I learned.
