What time are people planning to get to hyde park? ive been to loads of gigs but never one like this where everybody is standing.I have a gold ticket but im only a shortish guy!!!!!Also are many people staying over?
Hey I: From the Birmingham gig, right?
What are you thinking timewise? I'm going to be there. Have loaded up the iPod and am driving across in the '59 Cadillac El Dorado (bright red, convertible w/big fins, lots of chrome, black and white tiger skin interior--an homage to Roger Taylor, of course--yes, it's a land yacht, but no reason it can't handle the entire Atlantic.) Will arrive a few days early, hopefully in time for Live 8, if not, definitely the morning of the 3rd, about 10:00 am, just in time for cocktails!
Not a clue what time to actually go to the Queen gig, but will be staying within easy staggering distance. More importantly, need vital information such as what's the best bar nearby, and how late is it open, and how much vodka will they have on hand?
Anybody up for another Manchester or B'ham-style meetup? Fenderek, you checking your email these days? There are poorly mixed Bloody Marys to be consumed! Headlong24 are you and your bro gonna be there from Joisey? Man on the Prowl and Lorraine, what about you two? It ain't gonna be a gig without you . . . you guys made Manchester rock! Martin J. you gonna be around for this one? Siomorrah? Mike in the coveted Jazz shirt at the HRC in Manchester? Jason from Australia by way of Indonesia? Flashman and Sir Archie--bus or Bentley? Kathy/Cathy, Lisa, Mark, and Debbie from Aberdeen? You guys got me going on the truly awful and inspired combo of Red Bull and vodka and more vodka. I'd like to return the favor in kind ;-) Myc and wife and friends from the B'ham gig? Russell S from Scotland at the Newcastle gig, you and all your great friends going to be there? Greg M from Pittsburgh, are yinz/youins/you ones going back fer this one? Lisser, Erin?, and all the people meeting in Cologne . . . are you doing Hyde Park as well? Can we talk?
Might just be a thing . . . Is it happening?
May 16? D'OH! I thought I responded . . . will check the email vault when I get home. Glad to know your alive and able to sit up and take nourishment.
Now, about the recommended time to get to the gig . . . suggestions from the masses?
When We used see gigs at Wembley stadium, we used to get there at 8oclock in the morning for a 3 oclock opening. So I was planning to get there around then. Also is anyone meeting up? Or does anyone want to meet at waterloo station or somewhere like that?

So that's about 7 hours prior to the gig, so that means about noon - one p.m. you should be at the venue to have a good spot (If the concert starts at 8p.m.)?
