I loved Scotty M's band war threads - so i thought it would be great to bring them back :).
And what better way to start than with these two!
So..........who's better and why?
P.S The eyes of Leppar are upon you in this thread :P.
God...NOT Bon Jovi (though I do like Richie Sambora, but that band is, don't get me started, with their boax set called "100,000,000 Fans Can't be Wrong"... I beg to DIFFER!!!!
Def Leppard WINS this One EASY A hands down!
Phil Collen rocks!
I like both, but Bon Jovi definitely seems to be the one who has been able to stand the test of time.
The best concert I've ever seen was actually Bon Jovi at Giants Stadium.
Hmm...toughy...
I might have to go with Bon Jovi on this, if for no other reason than Jon and Richie are still damn Fiiiiine!
Yes..I know that this thread is supposed to be about the music, before anyone says anything..;-)
Having seen both Def Leppard and Bon Jovi in recent years, though, I would say that Bon Jovi puts on a massively better show. Hair band jokes aside, Jon is still a good front man, albeit arrogant. But when you look like that, you can afford to be..tee hee

Hey Erin, when you went to see Bon Jovi, didn't Jon make a similar version of Freddie Mercury's "Dee Daay Doh", only that with Jon his sounded more like "Yaaay Yeee Yeeeeahh"?

Yeah I do remember some vocals back and forth with the crowd. Can't remember exactly what he was singing, though. I think that sort of thing is fun. Billy Joe from Green Day does it a lot, too. No doubt these guys MUST have been influenced by Freddie's interaction with the crowd.
Btw..I do still think that Def Leppard puts on a decent show. It was just kind of Spinal Tap-ish when we saw them because the venue was around half-full. I know the reason for this was mainly because they were playing too many dates, too close together. We did hang around afterwards and got autographs, though. Phil Collen was definitely the nicest, talking to the fans and all.
Another chance to fuck off Leppard fans. Great. Def Leppard are the shittiest load of shit ever commited to tape. They are truly fucking terrible. I can't put in words how much I despise them. But 'hate', 'fuck me they're bad', 'pass me the ear-muffs' might figure.
Bon Jovi, however did Someday I'll Be Staurday Night which is a great song.
The 'Jovi for me!
Dear me Banquo, not still bitter about West Ham are you? :P
The Lep get my vote.
Def Leppard kick ass - and you know it! :)
P.S Watch out for Glenn Hoddle's barmy army next season - up the Wolves!
The god-botherer doesn't scare the mighty whites. I am still bitter about West Ham though. If I knew you were a Wolves fan I'd have put more bile in my post ;)
A question who would you rather have Glenn Hoddle or Billy Davies? Truthfully now.
Yeah, I remember having some audio file of Jon Bon Jovi singing something like... 'Yaaayy Yeeehh Yaaayyyy', and then at the end he says... "I think I made Freddie Mercury proud".
Wahey - Arlene, Flash and Linda - excellent choice - i now know the smart people on queenzone! :)
:P @ the Jovi fans!
As for Hoddle or Davies - well it's a vereeee close call but...............Hoddle has been a manager for some time - Davies is fairly recent. So in terms of achievement and experience i would say that Glenn wins. :)
Wolves to win the league next season - better believe it baby! :)

Hijack!
I saw Phil Collins' solo tour in 1985 at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD and he did the whole DAY-O thing with the crowd too and they (we) loved it!
Back to subject...are any Def. L Fans going to their upcoming USA tour with Bryan Adams?
