But Brian's solo single in 1992 Too Much Love Will Kill You, lyrics seem pretty serious, does anyone know the full story behind the sad song, and why it shows Brian taking a trip down Memory Lane? |

Its to do with the breakup of his marriage to Chrissie Mullen and whether he should decide to stay with her or choose Anita Dobson. Read the lyrics again and everything should become obvious now. |

A lot of emotional stuff had either just happened - or was about to happen. The death of his father, the imminent death of Freddie (ironically from a "lovers" disease - but who eventually died alone), divorce, marriage, birth - it encompasses the whole rang of human emotion. Why don't you try listening to music? It is an emotional language which should talk to the heart, not scientific data to be interpreted by the brain. |

Mercuryworks: technically you are correct - but both freddie and his father were "dying" from terminal illnesses, and despite all his money and fame, all brian could do was sit back and helplessly watch it happen - and yes, i guess subconsciously you can add aids to the mix. And that's exactly what the song is - an ecclectic mix of ideas and emotions. Even if not "historically" accurate - it can still be empathetically written from a persona point of view (eg brian wrote about the sister he never had) because as i said above music is the language of the heart - and not the head. my point is it is about emotions - real - pending or otherwise. Seb: it is not as simple as you paint it to be. Body language ha ha is correct when he says "...And Brian May and Elizabeth Lamers..." Hello, Eastenders is crap now, (especially last year GOD! worst storylines ever) It was good about a decade ago and before then, with all the Great characters like Angie, Den, Arthur, Michelle and all them. As far as i am concerned EastEnders was axed ages ago. Was Freddie, Brian, Roger and John coronation street/Eastenders fans, do any of you know? |
