for those that still don't believe
Queen II is the classic album - a good sample of tracks will be aired - so for those of you who haven't shelled out for this cd yet, give this a listen and convert to early 70s queen - it;s the path of righteousness and true enlightenment ;-)

there are a few of us in QZ who think this way - it does (imo) blow everything else away. i can't get the purists who hail ANATO as THE ONE - i just don't get it - II is much better, and queen I is close behind
i love the energy, the production, the whymsical songwriting and the absolute overblown creative exploration - side black of queen II is (IMO) the finest side of ANY ALBUM anywhere

do you have the album/have you listened to it?
the reason i ask is you must also hate bo-rhap too!
fairy feller/nevermore/march of the black queen are the conception and embryo of bo-rhap
add to that seven seas of rhye - classic pomp queen
and the staple live numbers - March/ogre battle/father to son/white queen
my guess is you must hate 70s queen and love 80s queen

Brenski... he s 16 years old. That would explain a lot.
Queen II has one of the best song arcs in the Queen arsenal in Ogre Battle - Fairy Feller - Nevermore - March of the Black Queen - Funny How Love Is.
I also dig Someday One Day, but I don't think Q2 is the best album of Queen's.
I think that honour is best bestowed on NotW or Jazz.
IMHO, I much prefer SHA or ADATR to Q2. The only exceptional songs off of Q2 are FFMS & TMOTBQ. The rest of Q2 is not nearly as good as the following songs from SHA or ADATR:
SHA - BR, KQ, FOTW, ITLOTG, SCC, BBTLB
ADATR - TYMD, YTMBA, TMW, STL, TT

It is very strange to hear a Queen fan say that he didn't even like a single song from Queen II.
It's not that I don't like _any_ songs on the album. I've always liked Orge Battle, but most of the other songs range from just _okay_ to rather dull. I have to be in the right mood to listen to Queen II; otherwise, I'm likely to pop in ADATR or NOTW.

I couldn't have said it any better.
Queen II is mega.
But, I guess only if you like the more rock/metal side of Queens sound. It is also not the most instant album and I guess some people have not given it the time to get to know (and love) it.
