I did. I wrote an expository essay in school about the history of the band. The teacher said they were never interested in Queen, but after reading the essay they wanted to investigate them. |

Yes. My girlfriend asked me for a song about sex and I gave her 'News Of The World' CD with 'Get Down Make Love', she liked it. |
kerfuffle87 10.06.2005 13:00 |
yup, my mum actually dismissed Queen as just another rock band of which you can't hear most of the words to cos the singers scream the words out. How she managed to pass by Bohemian Rhapsody still puzzles me! but she really likes their music now; Invisible Man in particular is a frequently requested song in our household! a large improvement on music she forced me and my brother to listen to - there's only so much of ABBA that you can take... |
_amadeus_ 10.06.2005 13:13 |
Sorta. I play Queen a lot when one of my friends come over, and now they have the words of Bohemian Rhapsody memorized :O |
Farlander 10.06.2005 13:20 |
I gave my girlfriend a tape of some songs. It had "Dreamer's Ball" and "Who Needs You" on it, and she loved them and came to love Queen because of it. |

I took my husband (then boyfriend) to a Queen concert in 1982 on one of our first dates. He wasn't all that familiar with their music, but became a fan after that. |
bitesthedust 10.06.2005 14:10 |
I've got my nephews into Queen - they love Bo Rhap & Rock You !!! |

My friend introduced me to Queen. I decided to like them. She didn't MAKE me like Queen!! But we are no longer friends now :( I think she didn't like the fact I had started to get more Queen stuff than her... :S |

I got my step-father, friend (Diana), baby sister (2 yrs old), mom, and my best friend(Mindy) into Queen. Oh! and another best friend (Freakazoid). He's a member here, but he doeesn't post. He sometimes goes in the chatroom. |
Gunpowder Gelatine 10.06.2005 15:02 |
I've introduced a few of my friends to the band but I've never really made them listen to the music. All I've tried to do is get them away from listening to just Greatest Hits and actually buy an album or two! |
KillerQueen840 10.06.2005 15:29 |
I made my cousin love Queen. |
Suigi 10.06.2005 15:59 |
I've already had a number of classic rock fiends for friends, so it's hard to hook these guys on Queen. I've got a few people in my sight, so hopefully a few MP3s passed through MSN... |
DarkQueen 10.06.2005 18:32 |
Yup, I played my friend Sheer Heart Attack in class once and she went home and borrowed every Queen album she could find in her Dad's collection. And my last boyfriend. I met him babysitting his two younger siblings and we used to have massive music fights at his place; I'd play Queen at full blast on one stereo while he was playing Metallica full blast at the other end of the house. I guess I won - he's hooked on Queen now ;) And I don't really like Metallica all that much... |

i've made a compilation cd with queen and solo tracks on it for my girlfriend. "You Take My Breath Away" is her favaourite Queen song. She also likes "Love Me Like There's No Tomorrow" and "Touch The Sky." |
NovemberQueen88 10.06.2005 21:05 |
I have...my old best friend did not have a lue who they were and I introduced her to their music and she liked them... that was years ago though...she probably changed, but I remember those times when we used to hang out at her house and listen to Queen all day...Those were the days of fun and friendship....then she ditched me.... but it was fun...u get the picture. |
Mercuryworks 10.06.2005 22:31 |

Hell yes, my wife, my daughter, my parents and my brother. i played the songs so many times at home, and in my car there is a mp3 cd with almost every song known to man by Queen. Everybody disliked it in the beginning, but now they are all Queen fans (even my 3 year old daughter she really likes Bycicle Race.) My wife: friends will be friends My father: days of our lives My mother: i want to break free My brother: Brighton Rock Myself: i really haven't 1 favorite but if i have to choose It's a hard life |
All I Hear Is Radio Gaga 11.06.2005 00:56 |
One of my friends on my team likes Queen which is nice because we can relate to our taste in music. Everyone else thinks that i am obsessed with them, but i don't care, Queen kicks ass! |
deleted user 11.06.2005 04:11 |
Hehe, a lot of people. Last year I made almost everyone in my class like Queen (offcourse temporary). I made my sister like Queen (but also The Who & David Bowie). But my true master peace is Rik. A boy who played in the same musical as I did. He became so into Queen that he now is known on Queenzone under the name Headlonger, and he's even a bootleg trader :D. |
RohemianBapsody 11.06.2005 04:40 |
I think I have had the opposite affect with my wife and kids after playing the LPS too much :-) Saying that though my eldest daughter has a show this month and she is singing "Don't Stop Me Now" so I hear that coming from her room a lot ! |

My girlfriend became a queenfan thanks to me.She loves lots of their songs and can sing them all because she knows all the lyrics. We also went together to the antwerp-show from this tour.It was really fun. |
k01olnug 11.06.2005 12:04 |

I burned her a CD of like 15 Queen songs on it, like Las Palabras and Rock It... she has GH and two albums now! |
-fatty- 2850 13.06.2005 17:38 |
I played Bohemian Rhapsody to my children continuously for 72 hours and beat them whenever they looked sleepy. Now we're all one big happy Queen loving family apart from my eldest son who had to be taken into care. fatty. |
Goo 13.06.2005 19:21 |
I made my little sister like Queen awhile back, but then she started to steal my thunder, so I had to make her stop. :P I haven't fully converted any of my friends into Queen fans, but they're definitely more exposed to, and knowledgeable about, Queen than they evey would be without me. |
ImGoingSlightyMad 14.06.2005 00:42 |
My boyfriend who is the biggest Rush fanatic I know wanted to borrow some Queen cd's.So I let him borrow them all to Queen to Made in Heaven.I gave him two weeks to listen to them all and by the end of those two weeks I knew I had converted him.He told me his favorite era is the 80's,90's I just need him to like the 70's stuff besides BoR,KQ,WWWY,WATC.His favorite Queen DVD is Wembley. |
Munchsack 15.07.2005 16:33 |
Yeah, my best friend Ross (Rambo). He came to sleep over and Queen were on continously. Two weeks later, he bought The Platinum Collection, and he is downloading albums one by one. |
Munchsack 15.07.2005 16:37 |
Also my sister (briefly). She couldn't get enough (but it didn't mean she would go to extreme lenghts like buy a CD or poster!) Then she moved on (or back, I suppose) to Maroon 5 etc and now slags me off for liking 'seventies' music. Whatever. At least I have some music not that shit. Maybe one day I will let her vack into the house. |
Munchsack 15.07.2005 16:38 |
Sorry, that should say 'back' not 'vack' into the house. |
Insomni@ 15.07.2005 17:39 |
Yes... My grandmother didn't like Queen or even rock until the day she listened Somebody to love,Bohemian Rhapsody and The show must go on.I may say that she is a big Queen fan now ;-) |

Yeah my best friend and girl friend. My best friend used to have a lot of influence over what i liked but for once i influenced him. I was very proud of myself. |
Captain Fap 26.08.2005 23:18 |
(wow, this is old but I don't care) I got both of my closest friends really into Queen, one is even learning several of their songs on gutiar as well. We've even gone as far as to sing part of Bicyle Race on a tape recorder while sitting in the median of a busy street (it's more fun than it seems). We can play it back fast and it sounds like we're chipmunks. It's quite amusing. |
BricePerrin 26.08.2005 23:38 |
Converted an old girlfriend a few years back with the "Made in Heaven" cd. She liked most of the albums I have, with the exception of Queen 2. I had to call it off after that!!! Pretty shallow, eh? |
deleted user 27.08.2005 15:25 |
I got my best friend into Queen becuase I play them a lot when she comes over. |
Snackebah 28.08.2005 07:27 |

<font color=#FF399> Linda Of The Valley wrote: My friends 'love Queen' but they realy only love their greatest hits. None of my mates have any of their albums exceopt for GH1+2..*sigh*same here. Girls in my school are so misguided. In our music exams in June one girl put Queen down as a Traditional IRISH band. Like thin lizzy. I was mortified. My school make us analayise We are the champions for GCSE music and someone asked me the other day if Queen had released an album because she had heard that they were a one hit wonder. I had to sit down after that one. |
sheerheartattack1980 02.09.2005 21:56 |
My best friend Kim never knew who queen were. When I first got into Queen, the classic Queen cd had just come out. I nagged my mother into submission to let me get it, after that I was hooked. I bought every Queen cd with my allowance after that, and I would listen to them on the way to school. Kim wanted to check out what I was listening to, which was ADATR, so I gave her one of my headphones, and then it became a ritual. She loved everything except for hot space. Which I felt the same way, but now that I am more grown up, I found some respect for the whole album. So I made my best friend a Queen fan. |
rove 03.09.2005 05:04 |
lol, great question. particularly relevant for me, i went to live in Londond for a few years where i really began to love Queen, when i came back to Australia not many of my friends knew Queen. Now i have 1 friend who's favourite band is Queen and about a dozen whom have Queen in their top 5 or ten bands. Even brothers of friends now know all the words to Bo Rhap! |
