i agree linda - as a fellow "republican" - have to say - they're not my fucking royalty
and anything that befalls them - no matter how unfortunate - causes me no discomfort or concern
vive la revolution
I find it disturbing that you can berate people for anti 9/11 comments yet at the same time get some sort of satisfaction from a fake headline proclaiming the Queen of England has been shot. Okay, it didn't really happen but that is besides the point - it smacks of double standards to me.
Oh, if you want a Republic, France isn't far away.

Have I been berating anyone? No. I just happen to think that the monarchy is completely outdated and out of touch. I also have it on very good authority that the Queen and most of her wildly inbred family are amazingly rude and ignorant, so to be honest, I don't think I'd be that bothered if she had been shot.
If you're going to get that uptight about a piss take of a beer advert, I'd hate to imagine what you'd be like if something really bad happened!
Finally, if my wife could speak the language, I'd quite happily move back to france. Much better than this pit of a country.

What, 'ho ho ho'? Do you not like joy and laughter?
Or 'Republic Now'? I wasn't aware that political beliefs weren't allowed here? Fair enough if you don't agree, but there's no need to go off on one is there?

I think he also (mostly? or not...) meant other people, few comments that followed... BTW- When I said it actually made me smile- it was because I really liked the way the advert was used :) Myself couldn't care less if it's a monarchy or republic- just live here... ;)

Not that kind of republican (although I have to agree) we're talking about the kind of republican who is in favour of a republic with an elected head of state rather than a monarchy.
I agree with Bob. You can disagree with the monarchy without being so filled with hatred for them as some people in this thread are.
Basically saying "wouldn't it be great if someone shot the Queen" makes you look like the kind of extremist that we have so many of over here in Northern Ireland.
