I was giving this a listen in my car just yesterday , this version seems to get me jumping out of my seat more than the innuendo cut of this particular track... I like it as a in memory of Freddie type of piece the intro is quite well too... does anyone else like this version as opposed to the album cut? I also like the version of I want it all on Queen Rocks as well.
Ya I like the single version every now and again too for I want it all.. but the prolonged solo and the intro on the rocks version just gets me pumped up!
I thought I was the only one. I'm glad I found this place. Since I heard the Queen Rocks version, it's been one of my favorite Queen songs. The drumming is much better, it's a harder song. I love the Brian May "yeah" at the beginning too.
They used a drummachine for ICLWY on the Innuendo album. On the rocks album Roger really drummed very good and very loud. That's the most important difference between the two versions. The one on the rocks album is much, much beter. I actually think it's one their loudest songs.
jc beat me to it, I was gonna post about the drum machine lol. I was about to ask if it was because it was originally intended to be on Brian's solo album and they just stripped Brian's vocals and replaced them Freddie's. I don't know, that's why I'm asking it may be a stupid question> I just dont understand why a drummachine was used on the track.
