I've been playing around with the various sources for the Hammersmith 75 show.
The Swedish P3 audio is really excellnt. But it was slightly marred by the commentators talking over the top. I've edited the talking out. Then I got the extra bits on torrent here, and tried to make a complete show out of it.
But the medley sound quality is such a step down from the rest that I'm frustrated.
Is there anyone that has a copy of the BBC broadcast of the show that can share the medley?
- Hey Big Spender!
- Jailhouse Rock
- Stupid Cupid
- Be Bop A Lula
- Jailhouse Rock reprise (w/ Shake Rattle & Roll)
Come to think of it, why isn't there a complete BBC transmission recording of this show? The Swedish transmission sound is so superior to the mpg going round, and the few BBC songs in the extra bits torrent I posted here recently (originally seeded by EskimO on Dimeadozen) have also excellent sound. Where is the rest of the concert?
Either way, I'm just looking for a top quality version of the medley.
Why not purchase the official VHS "Queen: Rare Live - A Concert Through Time And Space"?
It was both dolby and digital, and featured the "rock 'n roll" section.
It's still available on places like e-bay at very reasonable prices.
Thanks Thijs, but it's not so much the bitrate (although that's important) but rather the sound quality, that mysterious element irreducable to a simple bitrate. I've heard 320kpbs mp3s that sounded crap :)

John, for the simple reason that I'm looking to put together the COMPLETE concert, not a highly edited version of one.
I've seen the video, but the version on there is about 3 minutes 43 seconds, more than 4 minutes short of what it was on the night. The full medley is about 8 minutes.
Yes, it seems to be. But it is mp3. I'm looking for flac sources. I think I have the best available if no one has the BBC re-transmission of the concert (and if they actually transmitted that song)
