I have notice a lot of postings from fans who are upset at the fact that 7 shows appear not to have any official recordings available, despite the fact that QOL told us that every show would be recorded.
I drafted a letter to QOL reflecting the fact that so many people are unhappy at being misled. I am convinced that every show was recorded at least from the sound-desk at the gig.
I think a collective email from fans to QOL would convince them to release material from all shows.
if anyone agrees --- leave your alias name here and i will send them through as a 'petition' if you like to QOL. I will also contact Brian directly at his web site.
From discussions on the queenonline forum it appears that not only will Sheffield be released on DVD and Double CD but there will also be a single disc of tracks from other concerts on the tour. At least this is what the administrator stated.
It raised a lot of discussion due to the fact that people were getting pissed off when it appeared this disc may contain many of the same downloads that fans have already paid for via 7digital (for a much cheaper price overall).
The discussion continued to the point where the administrator said he did not think the tracks would be the same as all the shows will be revisited he also said they have over 30 different versions of some tracks played on the tour. So we may not have seen the end of the tracks from other concerts yet, but we will have to wait and see what happens with this disc.
Don't hold this as definitive but there is hope we will see more in one format or another...
Queenonline have just released a few more downloads. They Are :
Crazy Little Thing (Wembley) :-)
I Want To Break Free (Milan) !!!! 1st from that concert.
and even better
A Little Bit of Love from Barcelona.
Looks like they were looking at the earlier concerts again. I was wondering why it was taking them so long to release the Wembley track/tracks.
Cool.
Under Pressure is I think a copyright problem due to the fact that is is credited as Bowie and Queen so I can understand that one also I rather heard it off course. But no Long Away Why not????????????????????????? That would be great GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR It was the chance to finnaly released that one live
IS it the fact that 3 people speculated on a copyright problem on QOL that leads you to claim this?
Cos it's bollocks. They don;t need Bowie's permission to release it. They could record Rebel Rebel if they wanted.
I think it's a real shame they did not take the recording Mobile to all the shows -- especially Belfast and Dublin. As many people have stated through the forums, these were 2 of the best gigs of the Tour. I was at the Oddysey Arena, Belfast and it was a sensational performance - probably the best ever gig in Northern Ireland.
but no official downloads available --- what a disappointment!
surely there is a really good soundboard recording at least they QOL could release?
Same applies for Stockholm and Budapest of course. All shows should have been recorded in my opinion, simply because that's what QOL said was going to happen when we all bought or Queen tour CDs. They clearly stated that EVERY show of the tour would be recorded.
I wrote to QOL about this but they have yet to reply.
there are recordings of dublin in bootleg form though arent there? i mean there has to be someone who just recorded it all or a lot of it, i'd love to hear or even see it again
