Thanks for your comments - Hammer To Fall on the way!
Hi, Lord. Perhaps a bit too long. It´s not the best Queen song, it becomes slightly boring in 6 minutes...but you did good mixing, again! Excellent work!

Guess I could have cut it down a bit - will work on that, and may post another version. I agree it's not the best Queen song ever, but it's fairly easy to edit! ;)
Well, fortunately i still have a copy of your mix, so here it is again: link
Looks like there could've been no better timing for me to return to this forum ;)
Oh, deep joy. I don't actually like this mix anymore. It contains just two cut and paste edits, neither of which are all that brilliant. I'd honestly rather have forgotten this one.
I must have missed this one. I don't seem to have it anywhere. Couldn't someone who downloaded it simply reupload it themselves? Shame you don't have a copy of your mix Fickle. How did that happen?
I remember back in 98 when I'd record stuff on the computer. I'd delete the bits that made up the track and keep the result. Man... how silly I was. Mind you, we only had an 850MB hard disk!
However, I quickly changed my ways and started keeping everything I could. Anyway, my point being, have you done what I did from back then? Or do you still do those destructive edits?
Peace,
Adam.
I think I simply re-edited it, and over wrote the original, Adam, either by mistake, or because I didn't think it was needed any longer. Anyway, ABTD did re-upload a version of it, but even this wasn't the full version, which ran for about 7 minutes.
Being new to all this (!!!), I'm going through peoples rmixes.
Is there any chance my Lord, that both you and Daniel vZ could upload your Invisible man mixes again please?
Did anyone do a mix that makes use of John's previously unheard different bass line that you can hear on the 5.1 mix?
Thanks!
David
Well, I don't have Fickle's mix but here's mine, mix between the normal and 12" version :)
ps. mine doesn't have that bass part that you're talking about, maybe Lord's version has. link
As you will see from reading this thread, I am not enamoured with my Invisible Man mix. It's a simple cut and paste job between the album and 12" versions, with a grand total of just 2 edits, one of them being not particularly fantastic. The 5.1 mix was not used, in fact, when I did this, I don't think it existed. There was originally a 7 minute version, then a 6 minute version, both of which just used more, and then less, of the extended 12" instrumental section, but to be honest, it was bloody boring! I don't have the 7 minute version any more, so this was the final, edited, Invisible Man (Fickle Mix), which really should just be called a Fickle Edit, and runs for just over 5 minutes. Not one for the archives, this one, but you can have a listen:- link
Hmm... it's a possibility I suppose, but as it's not one of my favourite tracks, it won't be at the top of my to do list. ;) I hadn't actually realised there was a different bass line in the 5.1 mix.
OK, I'll dig it out when I get a minute. Don't hold your breath though - I have a busy weekend ahead. Maybe sometime next week, I'll have a play around with it.
