Peter Kay is possibly the funniest alternative comic on the circuit at the moment. I recently went to the Teenage Cancer Trush show that he compared at the Albert Hall and he was hilarious. Having him compare the Hyde Park day will be great. Only wish they'd managed to get Jools Holland there for the day too..... |

Peter Kay is exceptionally funny - I presume half of you if not all of you who are slagging him off are southerners You probably then don't get most of his humour (especially Phoenix Nights and Max 'N' Paddy) He is a very funny guy and also comes accross as being a really genuine guy - and not like most people in his position having his head up his arse.... what difference does it make who or what Brian and Roger do or collaboate with ..... let them get on with it. ..... and if they think it's cool to have Peter Kay ....or anyone for that matter .... Oh for goodness sake! I am pleased that Peter Kay will be there. He is a mate of Bri and Roger - they rate him and he rate them. wheres the problem??? He is an excellent comedian of the 'old school' type comedy - good ole fashioned stand up seaside humour. If he does a stint at the gig then the audience will get a bit more for their money. Its not as if he will be up there tinkling the ivories and singing Bo Rap is it - eh eh???? I am a Queen of some 30 years plus and I DO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THIS!! Too many people have their holier than thou heads on and are taking it all too frigging seriously. Whoever goes to Hyde Park will witness two of the greatest musicians of all time giving their all and reproducing the beautiful sound that was and still is Queen. God bless 'em!!
